Re: Is Gene having Health issues ?
Yeah, I saw this this morning and didn't know he had something going on. I guess we don't need to know the full details. The sad fact is that a lot of the rock stars we love are aging. Cherish them while you can. I still can't get over the fact that all of the Ramones are dead, and yet the Rolling ...

Re: Steve Stevens plays Squier Hello Kitty Stratocaster
I always loved Billy Idol. All of it. Cyberpunk album -all of it. I was into all the metal stuff, but liked the nu wave, punk, post punk stuff too. Sisters of Mercy, Lords of the New Church... etc - I was into it. & for me, Billy having Steve Stevens was a big plus cause it had that element of Shre...

Re: Lanny Cordola
Yeah poor old Dennis. Rod Smallwood just didn't like him and wanted him gone but he was a good performer and songwriter in the Maiden style. But since Adrian should have been in the band before Dennis joined, I guess he can look back with some happiness. That bass player! Never seen a bass or guita...

Re: New Kiss book coming out : non make-up years
MrSirTrevor do you have this one ? I do, but the original, not the newer one. I got the Peter Criss book when it came out - makes sense what his ex says. Naturally, with anyone who writes a book of their career, you take what they say with a grain of salt, unless you know them. Some of what Peter s...

Re: Steve Stevens plays Squier Hello Kitty Stratocaster
I love Steve Stevens, love his work. Billy Idol on the other hand.......a girl I dated back in high school (back in in Idol's mid-80's heyday) totally played his music way too much for my liking. I was into Maiden, Slayer, Raven, VoiVod, Coroner, Uriah Heep, etc.......hell, I even loved The Tubes! B...

Just pre-orderd mine, too. That's cool. I will have to pre-order mine as well I had to have it, I guess - I have nearly every other Kiss book, to my knowledge. Years ago I got the book called Into The Void With Ace Frehley by Wendy Moore (one of Ace's, ahem, "flings", I guess you'd say). It's defin...

That is outstanding. Insane playing and vocals. He has a YouTube page, mostly now he's a vocal coach (lol, actually a legit one). I had a buddy get me turned onto his Christian music back in the early 90's. It definitly wasn't Stryper, much better; and what impressed me most was those time signatur...

Re: Lanny Cordola
I loved his stuff that he did with Ken Tamplin back in the 90's, including the Magdallan albums they both did. Also the early House of Lords albums had excellent guitar work (even though I think Jimi Bell would give him a run for his money). Jimi Bell seems to go off the rails (in a bad way) during...

Lanny Cordola on guitar, Ken Tamplin on vox, and Ken Mary (another House of Lords member) on drums. This is one of my favorite cd's in the thousands I own.

Re: Did John Sykes Save Whitesnake In 1987?
Wow, to think if a recording of that was available today! They probably gave the oboe a a little something at the board, I'll bet. That guy who played it has to have some cool stories to tell. Like you said, touring with half of Led Zeppelin would be the time of his life! LOL, no nothing but smaller...

Re: Did John Sykes Save Whitesnake In 1987?
Did you check out Coverdale/Page Dino? I dug that when it came out. Now I want to hear a few of those songs again. Best thing about it was that it brought Page and Plant back together and I got to see them play together 23 years ago! Yes, it was so cool when it came out. Something I never thought I...

Re: Did John Sykes Save Whitesnake In 1987?
Now it's Jeff Lynne's ELO, with various musicians. No thanks! As I get older, I enjoy instrumental music less and less and prefer to hear "songs". As I get older, I really haven't changed my musical tastes all too much from the "glory years" of the 80's. Agreed, those lyrics back then.....oy vey! :...

Re: Did John Sykes Save Whitesnake In 1987?
Man. I love Coverdale. Like the James Bond of R n' R. But I'll say it, Sykes could have looked threatening to Coverdale. Rockstar are all about the evil ego. The ego creates panic, uncertainly. The ego needs to be worshiped or else it has a tizzy fit. Sykes is to Coverdale as Vinnie Vincent was to ...

Did John Sykes Save Whitesnake In 1987?
Having a big part in the writing of 9 of the 11 songs on their most successful album ever, makes me wonder. While Slide It In a few years earlier was a successful album, the 1987 self titled album was a huge grand slam and put Whitesnake on more radio stations than ever. It's no mystery about Coverd...

Graham Bonnet has been touring with the Michael Schenker Fest for a few years now. I just missed seeing them in Kansas City late last spring. I have all of the ReinXeen albums as well as the side project stuff with the band Golden Resurrection that Tommy Johansson (lead vocals/guitar) has done. I guess these guys changes their band name to Majestica because of a record label switch. Doesn't make sense, but oh well. https://www.youtube.com...

This is an easy program to use. A guy who used to make the videos for our church worship music turned me onto it years ago. It's much easier to use, in my opinion, than the 7 video editor. Like anything there is a learning curve, but even I can understand it! LOL. I have a 64 bit system on my comput...

Cool video, way better than I could do. Do you know what he used to make it? Yes, it's called Magix Movie Edit Pro MX. It's a super cheap program to buy. I think it's kind of outdated and buggy, I keep trying to talk him into getting something newer, but he insists he wants to stick with what he has.

Thanks, man. The picture that was taken before the show started I'm probably a good 75 or 80 yards away, I just zoomed it in a bit. So I was definitely stunned when he headed right for me as that's a long way into a crowd to venture. Still totally cool, though.
