As we know about Vinnie, He prefers to stay tucked away from our eyes.
John Deacon from Queen is another ex-Rock Star that prefers to be unseen in recent decades.
They are both close in age. John(August 19,1951) is almost exactly one year older than Vinnie(August 6,1952).
It is good to see that John is still getting around.
Most say that he GOT OUT of the business with loads of cash and his dignity in tact. Still , it would be nice to hear him play and release an album. The man wrote some great tunes. What would he come up with NOW ?

I guess there's always a point in one's life when enough is enough
It must be an exhausting life style being constantly in the public eye and constant touring.
Good for him I say....and of course I'd love to see him on stage again, but it's his life.
Finger's crossed that in the years to come he'll get up on stage for a few songs with the other 2 and who ever is singing at the time, even if just for a one off performance. The crowd will go nuts when he hits the stage!
When I saw Queen a few months back with Adam, the bassist had a 2-3 minute spot and cranked out some John riffs.
Was great to hear it like that by itself.
It really put some emphasis on what he added to the band.

Oh, I didn't realise that John wasn't appearing with Queen anymore. I thought when they last toured it was everyone but Freddy of course.

I'll admit, I always had a slight "pedo" vibe about John! Awful to say I know but there was a doco on Queen from the 80's where they were in France and the way John spoke to a young English girl made me feel a bit urgh!
Hopefully I have it completely wrong though!

Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
