i stumbled across this interview a couple of weeks ago. this dude has some great stories to share (he tells you which opening act got booted off an invasion tour and why) and he tells you why vinnie's custom double vs weren't seized by the police that one night in worcester. he also mentions vinnie's non-fine tuner floyds  but not in depth. :(

check it out!

Bill is a nice guy.
I understand he is trying to reach out to Vinnie through the interview but I had the feeling while listening to it that he shouldn't have done it.

Damn!
Those BoyZ, Dana & Mark rehearsing Slaughter tunes during VVI song check.
Either Big Balls, or they had s at some stage written songs for a 3rd VVI album but VV would not have a bar of it or VV had been given his walking papers from the band & Chrysalis Records were backing Mark & Dana.
I'd say they would have all been under a contractual agreement to complete the tour & at the end of it go their separate ways.

A Disagreement is a single truths told from two different points of view.
I suppose no one will ever know the complete truth.

iirc (my kids keep me pretty sleep deprived so i'm not 100% on this or where exactly i heard it, but...) i have heard mark slaughter say in an interview that chrysalis (which had lost steve stevens from billy idol's band) had a "leaving member agreement" with vinnie's band which gave chrysalis right of first refusal. in the event the invasion broke up or someone left, chrysalis would get demos from the departing members of the band to decide whether or not to sign them. again, iirc chrysalis tipped their hand a bit by adding the line "featuring mark slaughter" to the credits of the vinnie vincent invasion videos mtv was playing while the all systems go tour was still going on.

So, in saying that, I was was a done deal.
"featuring mark slaughter" to the credits of the Vinnie Vincent Invasion MTC videos.
Done and dusted.
Game, Set and Match.
Explains alot.
