Re: Syracuse 1983
I saw Cheap Trick open for STP there(Syracuse War Memorial) about 15 years ago. Tom Petersson's first note was the closest thing I've ever heard to a BROWN note. I nearly shit myself. The entire structure shook. One of my favorite moments from many years of seeing shows.

Wonder if Gene told Vinnie to pose like Ace early on... the "too high to even close my mouth" look Ace was known for Vinnie is doing here:
... he looked so fukn cool in the ankh makeup.doublev2 wrote:FROM SANDRA

I agree. I think the Fox and Wiz make-up are very cool. It drives me crazy when Paul talks about how having other designs was a mistake.PinkWiz wrote:... he looked so fukn cool in the ankh makeup.
Open your window and see the real world
To know what you've been missing
Come out of the shadows
Insecurity lies
In a heart afraid to listen

That's because it's easy for him to put the blame elsewhere (hell, HE'S the one who came up with both of those characters!) Ace and Peter both could've been in the band in the early 80's and the world still would've been sick of KISS... people who didn't live thru it don't realize how overexposed KISS was at that time (I was 10 years old and knew it... but I still loved them.)

I remember he used a red Strat early on... was that a black one?

It looks like a black strat-shape guitar.

Definitely a strat shaped guitar in the video but also definitely Paul's BC Rich in the stills!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
