Vinnie's House Of Worship...

Post by BigEd »

Here is a picture of St. Margaret's Shrine in Bridgeport Connecticut...it's just a few block from where Vinnie grew up and this is where you would find him and the rest of the Cusano's on any given Sunday morning. This church is open to all but it was dominated mainly by strick "Italian Catholics"...you might even find a Goodfella amongst you if you look close enough....Ed Image Image

It's funny to see a Catholic Church with a regular Cross. In Oz it's easy to spot a Catholic Church because the Cross has a circle around the top half (like a Celtic Cross). Probably due to the Irish rather than Italian Catholic history of Australia.

My first seven years of school were at a Catholic school under the watch of the "evil" Irish nuns!!!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

man, i went to catholic school and to be honest it wasn't cool. I also went to catholic boarding school as well. I have never gotten over it and have not been to church on my own accord since. Not to say I don't like it. It just bugs me people who interperate their own version of religion for their own demented reasons. I know again this is a generalization but i like the more modest church goes who are just kind and sweet not pointing the finger. It took me a long long time to get over this stuff. I think the only thing that got me over it was going back about 10 years ago. I always think now that when Jesus was around their were no churches or priests, only jesus and I like to think of it as only jesus and not religion. But thats just my bad experience and millions of others have good ones.

I'm Catholic went to church on Sundays had a bad thing happen to me not once but three times I think I'm to evil to go in one.
If you see me fallen and endless fall
If you hear me calling a never ending call
If you see me bleeding I'm losing control
If you see me dying I'm dying alone.
