His hair was certainly a lot shorter, it may be he was trying to grow it long... He was probably into Zeppelin and the Who at this time... The beginning of his love of Rock music...

I love how Vinnie's hair is naturally curly. And soft curls too. <3 I want to go back in time to this picture and touch it. haha.

I wonder what song he was playing on his guitar there?

Absolutely. John Lennon has always been my favorite Beatle. The guitars are almost identical. So cool! Vinnie loves a lot of the same bands I got into before I discovered him. He really liked Jeff Beck too and I am a huge Yardbirds nut. :D

I like how John Lennon's voice is raw and his songs are very introverted. I think Paul is one of the hardest bass players to play like. He really I don't think gets credit for how intricate his lines are sometimes.

My favorite Beatle is Paul. John was too political , artsy, and serious for me.
George was too quiet, and Ringo was a drummer(LOL).

Paul delivered the most of what I like.

i wonder what music john would be making now. its really hard to tell which way he would go. I love Ringo but not his solo stuff too much unless i want a laugh. that disco record was funny, kind of like Peter's you matter to me.

Its hard to say what music John would be making now. It would be so fascinating to me if he was still here to make more music. I would love that.

I had a singing group in elementary school that went around to classrooms and sang songs.

Lennon's"Woman" was one of them
Dolly Parton's "9 to 5 " was another  8)

It is funny to think that a few kids started singing on the playground because of our love for music and the teachers had us eventually sing in class.

Actually George is my fave but Jimmie Nicol's story has always fascinated me... kinda like Thayer or Singer but he didn't get to keep the gig. Ended up a bankrupt recluse... hmmm, guess he's more like Vinnie. :|

His story is fascinating and I can completely see the connection with Tommy Thayer or Eric Singer...More Tommy Thayer though, I don't know why? haha
