what do you think of this film?
me personally, it closely mirrored what i had to go thru to see kiss the first time, my mother was a church nut just short of MATMOK, trashed my posters of kiss.
and i took a road trip of 6 hours to see em.
only thing i that i didnt have to shake my wee wee or get beat up LOL.
so when i saw the movie for the first time when they got in the concert..... tears man.
even just now, i just got done watching it and that part is like a big sigh of relief.
Detroit Rock City: The Movie

I enjoyed it
Cruisin' downtown, Shakin' her love, Is that babe talkin' to me, Felt my heart drop, Women can't stop, Girl has got me on my knees, Baby baby babe don't make me wonder, Won't you let me in, She said - see you later, Shot down, I'll be back again

I liked it. The stoner guy was my favorite (Trip?)
...this guy
that and the disco guidos scene
I can relate a little but not extremely to the religious stuff as it applies to Kiss. My parents didn't like Kiss for a bit but they relented to Kiss when I came in with Slayer a couple years later
But then again I was a child of the 80s not the 70s (mostly)

I ran into him in Anaheim at the Kiss Farewell Tour. I shook his hand while saying hello. He excitedly acted as if he knew me and I had to explain that he didn't know me and that I just wanted to tell him I enjoyed the movie.5minLuvKills wrote:I liked it. The stoner guy was my favorite (Trip?)

He had short hair but his mannerisms were exactly like the "character" in the film.

Yeah I thought he played a Stoner too well. He reminds me of slater from Dazed and Confusedposerboy71 wrote:I ran into him in Anaheim at the Kiss Farewell Tour. I shook his hand while saying hello. I wasn't too crazy about it. I saw it opening day. I thought the situations the kids got into didn't work comedically. The resolution felt uninspired. The jokes were weak. In all I think the script was weak and Gene probably rushed the movie into production before they had a great script.

The idea was good, but it could have been better.
The radio call in scene was classic!

I liked it. I was really surprised at the amount of extras on the DVD.
