I remember a while back a clueless KISSFAQ poster claiming KISS employed "Dynamic Pricing" at their shows. They didn't. That guy was wrong all the time. Nibbler

This is a great article on Springsteen and actual dynamic pricing. Tickets that were priced when they went on sale for $399 quickly shot up to 10X's in price as demand for tickets shot the ticket prices through the stratosphere.

The "working man"'s Bruce Springsteen showed he doesn't give a damn about the fans.

Holy crap, that is insane. I saw something about a $700 ticket but that is cheap compared to some of this stuff. Dynamic pricing is a joke!

Why? The market is deciding the price. If this didn't happen the people reselling the tickets would be making an extra $3000 or so.

Very true.

https://www.chicagotribune.com/entertai ... story.html
"Springsteen could have explained what happened here and also tried to change it. One possibility would have been — and could still be — to tell Ticketmaster not to do variable pricing anymore. Crowded House did that two years ago, saying that the band hadn’t known that Ticketmaster was going to use it."

He (and other artists) could also play multiple dates in the cities he plays to spread things out a little more.
Instead of just one night he could pull into town and play 3 nights - take a break and move to the next town.

I guess we learnt this crap from Uber? I remember when, was it Streisand?, first charged different prices for different seats and the days of paying the same price for each seat and just getting in early and doing your best were numbered. Now it's still hard to get those good seats, they just cost more, and now potentially a LOT more!

I saw five KISS shows in 97 for the same ticket price at each and I was fine with that. I saw multiple shows, from different angles and I knew I had done my best to get those seats.

They do.
When did KISS do that? They've have platinum tickets sure. But they didn't move. And then when it got close to showtime, they would drastically reduce the price.

When did KISS have any shows where they price rose alot on the first day?
