For those that haven't seen it, Vinnie has spoken with the Decibel Geeks very openly about the first album and the lead up to it.

Well done boys!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
Re: Vinnie on the Decibel Geek Podcast
He said some very interesting things as far as his likes and dislikes.
It explains the drums on the Euphoria EP and what he was doing to Bobby on the first album.
We never realised his feelings about drummers before, though he worked with two great ones in Eric and Bobby.
After what Bobby told us I yearn for the drum track that was lost to be available, and I love the drums on LIU, Eric did a fantastic job.

I was horrified at his thoughts on drummers to be honest. Drum machines have no groove.

Yeah, I'm with you, but it's how Vinnie feels for some reason, and seems to have forever.

Re: Vinnie on the Decibel Geek Podcast
My partner just recorded an EP and he used a drumming program for pretty much the same reason as Vinnie said . It’s a precision thing, tempo is hell important . I guess Vinnie doesn’t like embellishments and timing errors that maybe some drummers provide.

Even worse was when he said on another show how he heard COTN demos with a drum machine and thought they should just use those tracks and take Eric Carr off the album.
