Vinnie’s Invasion VV Guitar
Hi guys, first post here. Great forum! I was wondering if anyone knew what ever happened to Vinnie’s guitar he used on the first Invasion tour? The pink and metallic silver Jackson. It had the single EMG pickup in the bridge position, with a silver non fine tuning Floyd Rose tremolo. Since re-emerging to the public, I see he used what looks like the white Carvin from ASG, when he played the gig with Four By Fate. Also, in convention pics I’ve seen him with a pink guitar with the logo taped over the headstock. That guitar though has double pickups, and the fretboard inlays are dots instead of shark fins. I’m wondering if that may be his original Invasion double V, but modified. Not sure, but would absolutely love to see a pic of the original one in all its glory. Hopefully it’s still out there in original form somewhere.

The guitar became the silver/purple guitar with (eventually) two pickups.

Thanks so much for the information, guys. I have often wondered what ever became of it. I wonder if he still has it? Would be awesome to see a recent pic of him with it.

Search the forum.
There are photos of it from approximately 2010 that Vinnie took in his shed.

Awesome work, tukoztukoz! Really nice guitar man, how does it play? Wish I had the skills to make my own guitars.

Only tuko has the skills needed to build the "Ultratrash VVV"!!!
Still love watching that process.

Re: Vinnie’s Invasion VV Guitar
Thanks! The guitar works fine, as it is japanese made in the early eighties. A good neck and a well made Floyd (I switched to a schaller floyd) are very important. The rest, body, headstock, is secondary. The guitar is a bit too heavy, but I like it and play it regularly. It doesn’t need any case, so it’s always ready to be played...
Now if I can find a US neckthrough Jackson in a very bad shape and not too expensive , I’m ready with my saw and screws...
