Re: Guitar Pickups
An EMG 81.
Since it was active (battery powered), the passive neck pickup would have been disconnected.

Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
Re: Guitar Pickups
KISS, well Paul at least, were using EMGs for years so that may have influenced Vinnie's use.
Either way, he stuck with them for a while.

Re: Guitar Pickups
Often you see him the with the white/black pickup on the neck and a all black one on the bridge, then some of his other jacksons rr had 2 unbranded black pickups even his double v had the same pickups
Re: Guitar Pickups
This was later, and he was using passive pickups.
I do remember an interview talking about his VVV from Jackson and he was saying how sonically pure it was, and he was using an EMG then.

Vinnie told me that after a while he went back to PAF pickups and preferred them.
