New Vinnie Vincent signature guitar.

Looks like Vinnie is going to release a tribute guitar of the red Guitarman guitar he built while still living & working in NY. This guitar was used on the CoTN tour and featured both maple & rosewood fingerboard fitted necks. This is the guitar many thought was a Charvel due to the similar logo but is definitely a Guitarman.

Some inaccuracies on the prototypes shown here though overall, looks pretty much like it. The original guitar had a top mounted NFT Floyd Rose (Vinnie's preferred Floyd) but these ones have a "standard" Floyd fitted. To weird things up, the guitars have been routed for a recessed Floyd and, an NFT Floyd too??? So the intonation bolts on a standard Floyd would hit the body and you couldn't pull up on the bar anyway!!! As I said, the original had a top mounted Floyd but, since we haven't seen this guitar since the CoTN tour, Vinnie may have gotten a pullup route done on it like he did his Rhoads and Jackson VVVs before the ASG tour?

Hopefully they won't be made in China but maybe at one of the good manufacturers in Indonesia or South Korea? Obviously a boutique builder in the US would be optimal but would also push the price through the roof! Obviously the "strat head" needed to be adjusted so to avoid Fender wanting to sue for copyright.

Vinnie is pictured with Roger who runs Vinnie's FB page.

And the original...

Wow. I never did like the look of the Guitarman guitar, nor the Strat style guitar on Vinnie in makeup in general, but there was something about the Guitarman body or something that didn't grab me.

I know you say they are hopefully built somewhere decent, though a US build would bring prices through the roof, but when has that stopped Vinnie before? Cheap junk at high prices has been the way of things, and decent stuff at eye watering prices.

From the looks of the box it came out of, my guess is China. Plenty of builders there who will do a run like this, rather than establishing contracts and arrangements with the decent factories in Indonesia or South Korea.

Happy to be proven wrong. I like the EMG's. I don't know what kind of Floyd that really is, and the headstock shape is awful, but maybe still too close for Fenders liking. The logo is also terrible and helps make the guitar look super cheap. I do not desire this guitar at all.

Never liked that guitar.
Each to there own.
For VV its needs to be a double V or minimum, a Concord/Roads V (P!NK)
A million Awesome Superstats around, why that fugly thing? God only knows.
I suppose Nostalgia from when the 'Gene & Paul show' handed VV a povo pack strat.
Like when KISS purchased Eric Carr the povo pack Porsche. (PPP)

On that pic where VV and his friend appear, the guitars look like cardboard guitars.

lol

That'd be the binding causing that illusion I'd guess.

Yeah, Vic! Not a fan of the logo either. It's a bit too dark and not great colours but, they are prototypes so that can be changed.

It looks like a genuine FR on there though what looks funny is that the collar is missing off the arm. Maybe the builder has access to the FT1000 series? Which would be 100 X better than a FR "Special" or a no name licenced version.

that head-stock is all wrong.
It looks like it should belong as part of Big Al Delvecchio's genitalia.

Try whipping that imagery from your mindfuck.

Where did $9000 come from? Has it been posted somewhere?

If that's true it is over the top insane for the guitar.

Nope, I just deduced that all of his Guitarmaggedon Guitars were like $9,000. (Double V's) The Pink and Gold Jacksons that he is signing I believe were less. $2,500 for a $500 Guitar?

You gotta believe that this guitar is not costing much to produce. It has the look of a cheap guitar.

The world doesn't need cheap versions of the Guitarman guitar, it needs new music and performances from Vinnie.

Every day he strays further from improving his legacy.

Ok, this guitar is on the website now.

$5000 for one, $8500 for a set of two, one rosewood fingerboard and one maple.

No mention of a case.

If these are being made in China that's a huge mark-up.

I just thought of it, you can get your own made super cheap in China.

But I wouldn't even pay $300 direct for something like this.

There is no limit to Vinnie's Greed or Narcissism

With that said those who want it can buy it and those that don't can pass or make their own for $300 to $400

There really does not seem to be a limit does there? Such a waste of energy this guitar.

I'd have problems accepting one of these for free in my collection, but if I did want one, I'd order one from AliExpress and be done with it.

There will be two made. The prototypes that have already been made.

Good luck but, no one is interested. Insane!

Yeah, two is already two too many of that one, especially in a build of dubios quality and origins.

Everyone needs to be patience.
Form a orderly single line and wait your turn.
Everything is selling like hotcakes due to the high quality of the goods and the low prices.

***Due to scheduling and heavy demand, please allow 6-8 weeks for shipping.

I think those scheduling demands and delays have been there since forever, like when they were only selling t-shirts. For some reason Vinnie always wants a fairy large buffer of time from when he gets your money and when you receive your goods.

So it's not unique to the appearance of this ugly guitar, and you could assume the guitar would take even longer if they have to be made in Chine per order.

No hurry! Instead of the nice things VV’s offering us, I got this Matsumoku ( Kasuga?) SG today, with a small Fender frontman 15r amp, gigbag,a guitar book, Korg tuner, 12 Fender pics and a jack. Everything for 50$...
Ok, I drove 3 hours for it, but I sort of needed to drive and sing overtones all by myself...

I almost feel like there's no point posting about this (or a multitude of other VV related goodies), but in what world does anyone think that a $5K guitar is the right thing to attach Vinnie's name to?

Vai could (and probably does) sell guitars at these sort of prices. And that's because he's active, relevant, engages with fans etc.

I just don't get the business model. Maybe there's 6 crazy fans out there who can't help themselves. But good god. This isn't even a quick win is it?

I've said it before, I'll say it again - BOXSET.

Very insightful and accurate post.

It does make no sense as this guitars actual quality is an unknown besides that it looks cheap from my point of view.

I, and probably others here, probably have more guitars than Vinnie currently, or possibly ever had. I don't know at what price point I would consider this as it is just unappealing.

3 years and counting since Atlanta, he needs to cough up the Box set, two for those who originally ordered.

Vinnie is no Vai, this isn't good for his legacy. The box set is the place to start, but it feels like it will never happen. Add the Party video from last year, that will never see the light of day.

I thought those guitars were photoshopped into the pictures the first time I saw this on his page.
They look very cheap. Like they're custom ordered from China and if the specs were all twisted "in translation".
But I like the look of the original a lot.

The original does look better, this looks like a cheap, but expensive to you, copy indeed.

The things you could buy with your money instead!

There are new cheaply made but not cheap to buy Vinnie guitars on the site.

There is also a white/gold variant but it's this multi colour one that just looks dreadful in the pic, let alone what it would be like in real life.

Nobody, especially the shops in China has ever replicated the multi colour Pear guitar except for Tom himself. I've seen the fakes before and this is what they look like, it's just dreadful, it's nothing like the real thing. Very sad.

Yes, you'd need to be a complete moron to pay so much money for this and the other guitars, they are Chinnie Chincents indeed.

I can't believe Vinnie would offer that multi colour one considering how badly it looks. Not sure why those Chinese shops do that to the paint job, they just can't seem to replicate the real thing at all.
