My first electric was a fender strat, fuck I loved that thing! I don't mind the performer at all, looks different

ed roman says it was the best japanese made guitar of the 80s but hey its ed roman.

it was made to be the top of the line fender with the best materials. They wanted to make it in the USA but Fender had no shop in USA at the time. The guy who designed it said it retailed at half the planned price and you got a lot for your dollar but it only lasted a few years. Fender really had a hard time in the mid 80s.

Until Clapton was in favor again & then it was all on again for Fender
