Hey Sinners,
One of the members of my guitar posse is selling this following vintage 1983 Jackson Rhoads V Guitar from the 1st batch RR0164. This has been stored in vaults of local studio musician and shredmeister Darrell Ashley for nearly 30 years who is the former guitarist of the Southern California 80's Band called "The Wicked". The seller Chris Clarkson is a personal friend of mine and we are both friends of MIT Graduate Darrell Ashley.

Very similar to yours Vic. What year was yours made? What's its history?
Re: 1983 1st Run Jackson Rhoads V For Sale
Mine was made in 2000, the year I got it, but to the specs of Randy's original one, which was the first every Jackson in the Rhoads shape that we know today.
It had Randy's tall/skinny frets, the prototype small sharkfins and hand drawn Jackson logo, as it was the second Jackson every made.
Construction wise they both should be similar, they made them different to now for a few years, then changed the recipe, which is fine. It's still good, just different. Both my Rhoads feel different to hold and play.
Mine is just about the last of a run of Randy's Original Rhoads that started in 93 with the PCS series of guitars. I think it was then, they are in a catalog from that era.
I prefer the look of the standard, bigger sharkfins and this is what they were already doing when Randy died.

I like the originality of your's Vic. Just like Randy's.
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!

It is just like his. That's why I wanted it. I would love to have the white Shortwing and a Polka Dot and a Cream Les Paul too.
