Almost half of Americans are low income
Almost half of Americans are low income
Information from the most recent United States Census indicates that the economic pic-ture for many people isn't specifically an im-age of wine and flowers. Housing and child care are said to eat a lot of income of the amount of Americans said to be low income, which is now almost half the population. Most Americans require short term loans at some time because of this. (See: https://personalmoneynetwork.com/short-term-loans/)
Survey of mayors finds individuals going hungry
MSNBC reports that the United States Conference of Mayors did a survey in 29 cities in the United States that shows several negative things. There were only four cities that did not show increases in food stamps and food assistance from 2010 to 2011.
Most people that wanted food aid weren’t employed either. Only 26 percent who wanted the aid were. Almost 50 percent were families and 19 percent were elderly. The homeless accounted for 11 percent. There was an increase to 13.6 million households that got food subsidies. That was a 16 percent jump.
There was a six percent increase in the homeless population on average for all 29 cities.
Wealth not common in The United States
The 2010 Census showed that “low income” is now considered everyone in The United States who makes under $45,000 annually. About half of all Americans fit into this category, according to the Daily Mail. CBS reports that this is by family of four, not individuals. About 48.1 percent of Americans fall into that category. This involves 146.4 million people.
The New York Times reports that $22,314 is the poverty level for a family of four which 97.3 million individuals make 100 to 199 percent of.
A third of income going to-wards housing is probably the most anyone should pay for it. About 62 percent of low income families are paying that much. Child automobile was about one fifth of income for a lot of peo-ple.
Wages going down from the past
Lower incomes are because of falling wages, most assume. The poorest 20 percent of Ameri-cans are making much less in 2010 than they did in 1979. There was a decrease of, when adjusted for inflation, over a thousand dollars from $16,788 to $15,000. Wages have been around $37,000 continuously for the next 20 per-cent.
The national average income, according to the New York Times, has fallen from the 1999 peak of $53,252 to $49,445 in 2010, a seven percent decline.
There was a 64 percent increase in the typical riches for the top five percent to $313,000 since 1979, according to CBS.

Yes interesting. Also to note, many business owners pay their employees more than they pay themselves!!!

You have to fight every step of the way to survive..It's easy to get left behind if you don't work hard for a living
and if you do fall over there won't be many there to help you pick up the pieces...
I don't know how people survive on 40k a year especially with kids? There is too heavy an imbalance between low income earners & high income earners and it ain't getting better The GFC in '08 definitely helped worsen the situation and I was directly effected as my wife lost her job in the Property Development Industry.. Unemployment is far too high and long term unemployed lose confidence and are struck with self doubt...Our Governments have a lot to answer for.
We got through it though because we were determined not to be beaten. Giving up is never an option...

One thing I dislike is how the gasoline prices seem to always go up around the holidays. Just because the companies seem to think that is when people are going to do the most traveling. At least that is how it seems they do.
Re: Almost half of Americans are low income
In the end, the global population will result in a struggle over scarce resources. The population of the US is only 350 million, and rich agriculture land will become valuable. It's not in the best interest of the US to unite with overpopulated countries. The global economy has a limited shelf life. I doubt it will last 50 years. I predict protectionism and sovereignty will make a comeback, resulting in war.Kisstrooper wrote:In the end everything will be made in China, its the way it will be.
Fact: There is only so much fertile land on the planet to grow food.
Fact: There is only so much drinkable water on the planet.
Fact: The population is over 7 billion, and growing rapidly.

Re: Almost half of Americans are low income
Economies are collapsed on purpose by Globalist. By the World Bank, by the IMF, They use scum like Bono Vox to brainwash the masses. There is plenty of everything for everyone. One World Government wants to scare everyone to the point that we turn on each other. It's systematically destroying the middle class & forcing them into the low class. This will in turn cause unrest & then the Globalist Governments that run our world will tell us that we need a Military presence to patrol our streets. When it gets bad enough they will tell us that they need to put everyone on an even playing field & that one of the 'isms,' fascism, communism or socialism will be the tool that brings the people. (A collective) together. Most probably use communism. Very trendy these days.
The scum pushing these agendas base their beliefs on pagan teaching. They are Godless scum that ultimately want to kill off the majority of innocent people. And want a small manageable slave race to serve their every need. They no longer want to sell you crap. They've got the money. Now they want the ultimate power. These nutter believe that it is their destiny to be Gods on Earth. Look that this bullshit adverting they do. Judge for yourself if this is normal behavior.

Re: Almost half of Americans are low income
Henry Hazlitt explained the greatest economic fallacy. Self-interest at the expense of others. Bad economists only weigh the short term benefits to elite groups and ignores the long term consequences to society as a whole. Leaders must make sacrifices, as well for the good of the people.
Good economists place importance on Pareto efficiency. One individual should not come to harm for the benefit of another. This is "smart for one, dumb for all" thinking.
Globalism is one of the contributing factors to overpopulation. Mao encouraged workers to reproduce for the good of the party. Such factors as the availability of child labor in foreign countries and outsourcing increased from 1 billion to 7 billion in one hundred years. Polygamous families in India discovered it was more profitable to have an abundance of children working. Overpopulation is occurring in a couple industrial countries, though. The unfortunate truth is that these people living in foreign countries are already slaves to corporate greed, and Marxism.
This is great Libertarian stuff about the scumbag bankers.
