Re: Ace Frehley - Space Invader
LOVE the new album outside the totally dumb cover song and "Immortal Pleasures." My first run through this album didn't go very well, as I was hearing stuff I didn't like (fades, overproduced snare, too much reverb in spots, etc), but with repeated listens, the songwriting and Ace's overall ...

Re: Vinnie's Youtube-NEW STATEMENT COMING
I understand doublev's chagrin over V's statement, particularly given his vast past efforts to V's benefit. HOWEVER (directed to the rest of the planet) -
V is not an elected official, he does not hold public office, etc. He is a PRIVATE PERSON. If any of us were in that situation, we'd be ...

Re: aint none of your buisiness and 84 titles
Wendy was fucking awesome, and a saint. I'm not crazy about her voice in some stuff, but it KILLS on the "Maggots" album. That's a top-10 fave.
I don't see how Gene ever thought he could make her break nationally and have commercial appeal, but go figure, she *did* have a Grammy nomination in '85 ...

Re: Media attention
"The public's a bunch of assholes." - Charles Manson.
The above quote is interesting because 1) it's largely correct, and 2) was stated by a madman. Just because someone's crazy doesn't mean they're always wrong. And, conversely, just because someone's allegedly NOT crazy doesn't make them right ...

Re: Vinnie Vincent is in jail
No worries, it's easy to miss nuances in the written word, which is why I try to be as specific as I do.
Who knows - If V is a loose nut right now (I hope he's ok), he's got some dogs he'd like some people to meet if he feels they're hanging around his fence too much! If I were in his shoes, I'd ...

Re: Vinnie Vincent is in jail
I hardly call checking out his fence stalking.
Again, don't put words in my mouth! :D I never said that it's stalking - I said, don't do things that "could be interpreted" as stalking. Knowing how secretive V is, it's entirely likely that HE could *interpret* someone loitering around his property ...

Re: Vinnie Vincent is in jail
DoubleV - Nope, I do not know him, just share the same birthplace.
I would not encourage anyone to engage in any sort of behavior that could be interpreted as harrassing or stalking - It's clear that V is intensely private, and it would be incredibly fucked up for anyone to not respect those wishes ...

Re: Vinnie Vincent is in jail
My man should WRITE A BOOK! He can use the capital to get out of hock w the shekel-hoarders and their shysters, get HIS version of everything out in public, and maybe kickstart a re-launch with whatever couple beans are left over... Lord knows, he's got more than enough material NOW, let alone the ...

Re: Vinnie Vincent is in jail
How do we know that vv has not been paid?
Who said he was not paid? He *was* paid, but he thought he was a member of the band (as we all did at the time) and he wasn't - He was a hired gun, and believed he was entitled to more than he legally was. That's all. I didn't say he wasn't paid, I said ...

Re: Vinnie Vincent is in jail
Hi all -
First-time poster (and maybe last?) - I'm not big on forums, not much of a social butterfly... Just wanted to throw in a NOTE OF SUPPORT FOR VINNIE!
I agree with the (many) people who say that he shouldn't have hit/beaten/whatever his wife, *if* that's what happened. But as we've seen ...
