It was pure coincidence that I lately took notice about Michael Kiske. Under the name "Place Vendom" he released two or maybe more albums on Frontiers Records.
Although Helloween is a german band, I never was a fan of them. No doubt that Kiske is a good singer but his voice is a little bit too soft ...

I just bought the new Joe Bonamassa album "Driving Towards The Daylight".
I´m very impressed. Great guitar, great voice. A brilliant blusrock album and Anton Fig playing drums on it.
The booklet contains many information and pictures of his guitars.

Any opinions from you about Bonamassa?

You said that Paul is very stiff. Could it be that he has healthy problems? Did he had a good voice?

I don´t doubt that Tommy is a nice guy but of course not the right one for being in a band like Kiss. Apart from the playing he´s missing ...

Hell or Hallelujah isn´t a sensation but I think it´s okay, I like it.
Paul sounds very good to me, as good as usual. But okay, I must confess I love his voice and anyway he´s the main reason why I´m listening to Kiss.

To be honest, I never was a Toto fan but of course I remember some of their big hits like Africa, Rosanna and hold the line very well.

Great new song from Tod Howarth. He´s still cool. I´m always glad when there´s coming out something new from the heros of the 80´s.
I also have the T-shirt he´s wearing in the video. I got it from ebay.
I love the video of the 1988 London show from Ace Frehley.

It must be a disaster for a frontman to stand in front of 150.000 people and having no voice. If one of the other members of the band has a cold or something, it´s not such a big problem but the singer always has to be in good shape. I admire the singers and I think they are frequently underestimated.

I´ve never heard about this guy before. I just watched his website and listened to his music on youtube. He´s playing symphonic metal and he´s also selling his own "James Byrd guitars". I can imagine that Yngwie was inspired by him but his playing is not so much my cup of tea.
