Assuming they want to sell more than a couple of units to die-hard fans (! like the ones he's alienated himself from on the forums !), I agree they need some form of credible set up which maybe they think they can get from namm.doublev wrote:I am still interested in what the theory of showing at namm is. They'll need some sort of promotion to get more people excited about Vinnie again. If he put out some material to make the guitar more relevant to people now it would help a lot, rather than people just thinking 'oh look, Vinnie Vincent is putting out a new guitar like he used to play years ago ... and ?...'.
Or maybe the material/comeback is in the strategy for when they have the deal...I can't see the point of ONLY producing a SIGNATURE guitar for an artiste who, to all intents and purposes, has been on MARS for the last THOUSAND years, and where in his absence only rampant speculation and bad press abound - sporadically.
