My Kiss Drum Riser, its a TANK !

Im the creative force behind our Kiss tribute band Dressed To Kill, besides building smoking and flashing guitars ive also built a "Tank Turret" drum riser for our drummer,Grant !

Day 1,just bits of metal waiting to be welded.

No cannon is complete without an end, made from MDF,

Jazzed up with some checkerplate stick on,

Working out the plywood sides etc, yes its tapered not just a square box that would be boring !

Oh i forgot to mention its going to shoot confetti and smoke from the cannon, via an electric blower vac and smoke machine, hope our Paul (Small Stanley as i call him ) is not in the way or his wig may fly off, LOL !

Very,very nice!

Most importantly you found a use for that fake checker plate that is usually used by young guys on their first beat up piece of crap car that they think makes it look cool!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

LOL yep i know what you mean, i got a roll at K-Mart for $9 and its enough to cover a horse ! i also used it to make the fake rivets for around the the drum riser, its hard to see in the pic's but its Battleship grey with fogged black edges and then the rivets which will really pop under stage lights.The top is yet to go on but will be carpeted for our drummers chrome Premier Kit so lots of bling and flash for the show.
