Poor old Bruce got the question marked face!!!! No-one knew who he was at the time!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!

Oh ...never thought about this
For me it was something like WHERE IS VINNIE ?
or WHAT HAPPENED WITH VINNIE ? since the question sign is by Vinnie's side
its like they missed Vinster
I remember watching the home video for the first time back in '91 and thinking that the question mark meant maybe the Animalize Tour would feature any of the past or present members in concert... The fans had seen four personnel changes in four years so a lot of fans probably didn't know who or what to expect on the '84 Tour considering the instability within the bands line up...? I was probably reading into it to deeply though! It's just a banner
Hey man, I am cool, I am theBreeze...
VVFF Rocks Hard!!! This is not a Hate Forum Vinnie...Capisce!!? Brooklyn has almost left the Building

That's funny because I never tought of it the way you did!!
I always assumed Bruce because of the Mark situation.

Well done Streetbeat for bringing this topic up. I'd not thought about that banner much before... you're right though they're missing the Vinster...
About Bruce, it was a mystery at the time. I don't know about the US press but in the UK we got one small feature in Kerrang magazine that said Mark was ill and would be replaced by "Brutal Bruce Kulick" brother of... etc... there was a photo of him with a moustache. It said he was only temporary and that Mark would rejoin as soon as he was better. I saw two UK shows on that tour. On both nights we didn't know who would be playing and indeed when Bruce was onstage we weren't sure if it was Bruce or Mark. He kind of didn't look like the guy in the tour program (Mark) but then he didn't look like the moustachioed guy in the Kerrang picture. He didn't get a solo spot either. And to add to the confusion Gene had his funny straight haired wig on so he didn't look much like Gene either... I can totally see why the fans on the Detroit show (about six weeks after I saw them in UK) have a question mark there. It was a very confusing time for Kiss fans.... and of course for Vinnie fans too...
I just thought I'd add that perspective for the younger generation who hadn't lived through those mysterious times...
Basically no one knew shit, and rock stars were still rock stars. The internet is both good and bad. I really miss stuff like going to guitar stores and pawn brokers and finding something obscure for nothing .. I think ebay has ruined a lot of magic yet you can find stuff that would have been impossible in the 80s.
I used to have subscriptions to all rock magazines including foreign ones just to get some sort of idea of what was going on in the rock world..but still basically we knew jack shit compared to today.
