How much did Genie & Paulie charge their fans for being a part of this???
I distinctly remember Paul stating at the '95 convention / meet 'n greet that he never
was gonna be a part of bringing Kiss into the Vegas 'realm'...
Personally, that backline onstage on the cruize ship looks like a fuckin' card board box...
FOR ME, GENIE N PAULIE NEED TO BRING ACE 'N PETER BACK & THE ALIVE I STAGE SHOW OR KISS
WILL NEVER GET A DIME FROM ME AGAIN...
The rest of you should seriously think about not helping those two aging clowns reach billionaire status...
However...
People here want to bust Vinnie's ballz for looking to make money, but Kiss can rip people off all day long!!!
If the public would stop buying the crap Kiss dishes out, they would have to step it up.
Current/Present Kiss fans are delusional and make me embarrassed to be a once die hard Kiss fan.
Eddie, I understand and agree that the prices for some things Kiss related are way high and seem crazy to me. This cruise wasn't cheap and getting a smashed Paul Stanley guitar after a show is a rip off price to me too.
There is a BIG difference in the way Kiss and Vinnie operate though. Kiss has some high prices for things but two things a different.
1. Someone is actually willing to pay the prices Kiss ask, so a sale is made.
2. Kiss actually deliver, on time, every time, on these high priced items.
Our poor warrior had a failed guitar launch where none were sold, and we would have liked to see at least one sale and delivery but none were forthcoming.
Even the much touted and state-of-the-art catalogs were a fizzle. Vinnie is big on promises but small on delivery so nobody plonked down the cash for even the catalog, which was overpriced in a way Kiss would never do. If there was a Kiss guitar catalog it would either be free or $5 postage to get a copy. And they would print and deliver them too.
It's yet to happen but if Vinnie ever did give us all a mild heart attack and release something again, anything, would he charge a regular CD price or would it be a super duper happy fun time collectors item with a sky high price?
How much will the new Kiss album Monster costs the fans?
So yes, I have better things to spend my money on than the thousands it cost to be on that cruise but a lot of people did put their money down and they got what they paid for. Vinnie didn't even leave the house to present his $9000+ guitars to the world.
Until Vinnie comes down from the clouds and puts his two feet back on the ground where his mere mortal fans also live there can be no comparison to the Kiss machine, no matter how you feel about their current stage or band members.
They are out there fulfilling a need and being professional about it. The same cannot unfortunately be said for Mr Cusano, our fallen ankh warrior.
Listen to the fans Vinnie. Nobody wants overpriced anything anymore, there will be no sales that way.
