If you had to pick one KISS tune...

... as your fave (and ONLY one) which one would it be? Makeup or non-makeup, 70's, 80's, 90's and beyond... which is it? Kinda hard, but every time this tune comes on I gotta replay it... so mine would have to be...

A MILLION TO ONE! The opening chords, Paul's vocals, Vinnie's simple but melodic as hell guitar solo, Eric's drums, Gene's uuuh, enthusiam (pretty sure Paul prolly plays bass on it but I could be wrong).

Damn, I never get tired of that song (and why they never played it live or released a video I will never understand).

That is a good one but would choose Exciter. Love everything about it. I only wish Vinnie had played on all of it, but it's still my fave on the album. It has great attitude.

yes I've seen video on youtube of paul playing a million to one, magic touch and bunch of other cool stuff. I just think it was a huge oversight on Kiss' part not to release it as a single back in '83/'84... would've been up there with no one like you, nobody's fool, home sweet home, is this love, etc.

Oh man. Too many to pick. BUT! (out of none VV tunes) I love DO YOU LOVE ME? alot. Then there is Magic Touch, I Was made, Sure Know. Man, Had Enough,,, too many to pick.. Exciter is insane. Loved that as much as COTN.

Do You Love Me was my first KISS song I've heard. The heavy drums on the beginning and Paul's Voice - fantastic. Till today I like it very much

All good songs. Magic touch should have been a single. A million to one is a strange one.. never played live. I can only think gene didnt like it. I know 83 was more about metal so maybe the timing wasn't good for it to be a single.

My favourite kiss tune is between strutter, hotter than hell, do you love me, rocket ride, dirty livin, I still love you and a million to one. To pick one I have to say dirty livin because I like peters voice the best and it crosses musical genres .

I don't know if I have a "favorite" as it changes depending on my mood and stage in life. Right now I really like LOVE HER ALL I CAN. Great riif, tempo, cadence of lyrics. An often overlooked gem that was way ahead of its time.

I dislike All For The Glory.

I like Ceasar, but my favorite Carr song is Eyes Of Love. Damn that petty Paul Stanly, Eyes Of Love and Tiara would have been great on HOT IN THE SHADE. Certainly better than a few of the G&P throw-aways on that album.

Yes, Eyes of Love def should've been on a KISS album... Gene was prolly all for it but Paul's ego couldn't handle another "Beth" or "New York Groove" me thinks.

The Eric Carr Rockology CD is interesting. It shows how much unused talent KISS (G&P) were ignoring. As an "album" it's more of a collection of demo material...song sketches instead of finished songs. I think a better recorded version of Eyes would've fit perfect on HITS.

Eyes of Love could've even been a single IMO. Once Paul took over in the 80's, Gene's whole "Beatles view" of all four guys singing lead went out the window. Paul wanted to be THE frontman. If it was up to Paul back then, Gene probably wouldn't even get to sing lead vox. I think it's funny nowadays Thayer and Singer get a lead vocal with no questions asked and those two could care less about singing lead... but that's all Carr wanted and it took the one album before his death to get it (well, besides Beth).
