I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Oh wow, this is a bit over the top
KMA, nobody is "hating" you. I misunderstood your joke is all that happened. There's no need to get upset. I genuinely didn't know you were a female type lady person when I referred to you as a he. Like DV said, it's an international board and sometimes things are not understood properly. It doesn't have to be a huge problem.

It's not my problem if you call me snide and combative. Oh well...the group seemed fine with it. That's what matters. Eh? C'est la vie. Say what you will.

What on Earth is that avatar KMA??????
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
Re: Vinnie, This Is For You, From Me.
I didn't call you anything. I said some of your more recent posts seemed a bit snide & combative recently. Actually I wasn't alone in feeling that btw. Now, I've tried to be nice and suggest it was a misunderstanding based on cultural differences which is what I think happened. Humor doesn't always translate as well as we think it doesIt's not my problem if you call me snide and combative. Oh well...the group seemed fine with it. That's what matters. Eh? C'est la vie. Implying immaturity isn't nice. An immature person would curse you out. I have been waiting for an apology. Not denial or justification.Vdog wrote:I didn't call you anything. I had thought about it, but I try not to lower myself to that stuff.Implying immaturity isn't nice. An immature person would curse you out.
For what you perceived I said ? I was offering an olive branch because it was a misunderstanding and got a hysterical response about being a forum punch bag. Slightly histrionic even. I didn't deny anything btw.I have been waiting for an apology. Not denial or justification.
I graciously accept your apologyStep one to resolution: "I'm sorry for hurting your feelings".

You are not even mature enough to apologize. I rest my case.

That is really cool that Vinnie likes Pretty Boy Floyd and Britny Fox. Two great bands.
Re: Vinnie, This Is For You, From Me.
I was never into Pretty Boy Floyd, although I had plenty of friends who were. I liked Britny Fox though.
They both had the glam image that Vinnie was going for.
Anyway, to get back to the topic everyone was talking about...the glam image. The Asylum album came out in late 85, almost a year prior to VVI. But before either of them was RATT and Quiet Riot and Motley Crue...but there was a huge glam club scene on both coasts as far back as 1981.
What I am asserting is that Gene & Paul were aware of the growing glam metal club scene. When it hit mainstream with Ratt and Quiet Riot...selling HUGE numbers and getting TONS of airplay on radio and MTV...you know Gene & Paul said, "Hey, if that's what the kids want, let's do that."
It was a mistake. Not going "glam", which obviously the make-up version of KISS is clearly an off-shoot of, but doing the vibrant color thing. It just wasn't KISS. KISS was black and white and silver.

Yes, I think the Asylum image would've worked alot better with mostly black and silver robes and hints of the four solo album/lips colors.
I remember reading a quote from Paul from that era that said he designed all the Asylum costumes and if someone in the band didn't like them, they are welcome to leave.
