Tried out for Crimzon Lake ( has the first Iron Maiden singer Paul Mario Day up front ) and low and behold i was selected !
My Kiss tribute band may have imploded but a greater more exciting door has opened.

Great news Tony. I also auditioned for a new covers band and got the spot. I then gave my old band notice.

They weren't playing any gigs and were losing direction. Not enough action for me.

Congrats Vic !, its a like a breath of fresh air to start fresh, these guys are really focused and have a huge sound especially with Pauls vocals im kinda humbled to be working with him but i will play it cool LOL

Got 14 originals and 14 covers to get right in 6 weeks then were playing, the guy leaving is playing his last gig March 29th.

Yes, it is great having a fresh start too with guys who are professional on their attitude so we can play our best and have fun.

Final piece of our puzzle is the singer and we have an amazing girl we are hoping will work out well at her call back audition. There's a guy we can work with too if needed so things should work out fine either way.

Good luck learning the songs. Are you going to use any of the Flashers?

It is kind of funny cause I told a guy at work about it and then thought to myself, "hang on, what if I don't get it"?

It occurred to me that I might not get it though I knew I was the right guy for the gig. Thankfully I got it and some other guys missed out instead.

It was a funny experience for me as I'm usually the one auditioning people, so being on the other side was different.

I was hoping the last guys would work out, with me taking a back seat, but they weren't as professional as they first seemed.

I just want to do my job well and play some gigs. With a baby due any time now I am happy to let someone else organise things.

Got most of my gear and i organised a buyer for the drum riser so that was agreed to, well verbally anyway, the way these creeps do sly stuff who knows what they will do.

Dang it! That was Dennis Wilcox (Paul's replacement in Maiden) that used the bloddy fencing foil!!! I knew I was wrong when I was writing that! D'oh!!!!
