MÖTLEY CRÜE, KISS Co-Headlining U.S. Tour To Be Announced Next Week - Mar. 14, 2012

MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil has revealed to Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Sun that the band will be co-headlining a massive U.S. tour with KISS from July through September. Expect the official announcement from Los Angeles next week.

"It's going to be really cool because KISS is bringing their full stage show, and MÖTLEY will be bringing our full stage show, so you are going to see two huge headliners at the same time," Vince said. "It's going to be one of the biggest tours of the summer, if not the biggest."

MÖTLEY CRÜE recently entered drummer Tommy Lee's studio called The Atrium in Calabasas, California to begin recording a new song that will be released to coincide with the band's upcoming tour.

MÖTLEY CRÜE's latest studio album, "Saints of Los Angeles", sold 99,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release. The CD was CRÜE's first studio album since 2000's "New Tattoo", which has sold over 200,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The band's previous studio effort with all of its original members was 1997's "Generation Swine", which debuted and peaked at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, and has sold more than 300,000 units.

KISS has completed recording its new album, "Monster", for a late spring release. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "It's A Long Way Down", "Back To The Stone Age", "Shout Mercy", "Out Of This World", "Wall Of Sound" and "Hell Or Hallelujah".

KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley recently admitted that he's never surprised by how deep KISS' fan devotion continues to run worldwide. "It really for me, resoundingly once again, I guess validates for me why this band exists," he told The Pulse Of Radio. "It's not a tepid recreation of the past, it's really an ageless beast that dominates at will. It's timeless."

I'd like to go...but I don't have the passion for KISS without the originals to pay such high prices.

It is.

Just got my ticket for the Chicagoland area show, but I haven't seen KISS since 1996/97 or the Crue since 1983 so I jumped on it.

What's the ticket cost over there? The Crüe toured here last year but it was way overpriced so I didn't bother going. I saw them in 05 and that was good.

Probably. Doesn't make any sense though.

And YES, I do like Crue but the last few videos I've seen of them live, I would definitely NOT pay big cash to listen to Vince weeze and cough through 70% of the songs. Hell, on half the songs anymore he only sings 2 out of 3 words and then points the mic at the crowd. If I wanted to sing the song myself I wouldn't have paid $80 for a ticket douchebag!!!

In one of the interviews I saw, both Nikki and Paul said the Crue will go on first and Kiss will close.

Saw the Crue last year and got front row at Kiss in Raleigh two years ago (thanx to Eric Singer) :) so I don't really have any interest this year...

Great news! I´m a big fan of Mötley Crüe and it´s good to hear that they will be on tour with Kiss.
So lets wait if they are in good shape.

Sixx looks like a busted ass. I know the KISS Guys have their Superhero suits on & look larger than life. But Sixx looks horrible. Should do himself & us all a favour & get back on the heroin.
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Paul already changed the vest. No more feathers. (Unless it's not a "stage" outfit and just for fancy-dress occasions...)

Damn! I'd never heard that. That actually sounds like a GREAT match-up. Sixx has great ideas for songs and lyrics but he needs a special kind of guitarist/musician to bring it to life. Sixx would keep Vinnie from getting too pretentious...Vinnie would bring the musicality. A lot like the Simmons-Vincent combo.

Maybe Sixx could re-build the Brides Of Destruction with Vinnie on guitar?

The sixx Vincent thing was reported in kerrang as well as the vv fan club. It was around the time Dana was working with brunette on smash crash and burn as kerrang reported both things in the news section at the same time. I believe it was just before asg came out.
