Lol!!! I listened to it again this morning, it was still on so I set it back to the start, twice! Just a Kiss compilation and I was up to L.

It's better than any Slaughter song. I'll give it that much!!!!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!

TRY GETTING A RESERVATION AT DORSIA NOW
I got Jesus in my fax machine. I saw Ho Chi Minh down @ Burger King. I dated Vinnie Vincent as a Drag Queen. I still don't understand a f**kin' thing.
I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Lick it Up (This along with Creature's of the Night are the best Kiss Albums ever)
Crazy Nights (Great commercial sounding album and the best of Bruce Kulick)
Carnival of Souls (Though very dark the songs are super strong on this album - Bruce Kulick plays Bass too)
Animalize (I'm a huge St. John Fan but this albums rating is lower because Gene's Contributions suck)
Revenge (Just like on Sonic Boom Gene's Songs are strangely better than Paul's)(GREAT Songs but not all of them are great like on Lick it up)

to be honest Revenge came out when I had just turned to jazz and i still have only heard Vinnie's songs. I have only listened to Carnival and Psycho Circus once and only heard two or three tunes from Sonic. I should listen actually.
I do like St John a lot too but not a huge Animalize album.. I used to love 'into the fire' when i was a kid though.

Bye Bye

I always thought Animalize was a lazy attempt to tray and recreate the Lick It Up album.doublev2 wrote:to be honest Revenge came out when I had just turned to jazz and i still have only heard Vinnie's songs. Into The Fire = Exciter
Heaven's On Fire = Lick It Up
Thrills In The Night = A Million To One
Under The Gun = Gimme More
And I also agree that Gene's songs are just plain, old fashioned BAD. (Although every time I say that, someone chimes in saying they love them...to each their own, I guess...) Working with Mitch Weissman instead of Vinnie Vincent I think proved that the co-writers were doing the heavy lifting when working with Gene in the 80s.
Having said that, my favorite KISS song of the 80s is frequently Heaven's On Fire.

Erg... just dont use the term "heavy lifting" in reference to the Gene of today.
Re: L.I.U. best non make up album ?
Yeah, I think the costume re-design was inspired by how unpleasant it had become to look at spandex stretched to it's limits across Gene's mighty gut.

now if only Paul would just wise up and start hiding the gut...

Credit where credit is due...for a 60 year old man Paul is pretty fit, but he's getting past the point of looking acceptable with his shirt off.

yes, he's definitely more fit than most 60 year olds. It's always weird to me though that Gene and Paul are the same age as my dad but I just can't see my dad running around in spandex with his shirt off in platform boots at 60-something years old.

Yes!!!
Do you know how many times I listened to "On the 8th day"?
That song rocks!!!!
Wait....I have to pump up the volume!
