I never put too much thought into this. I was just watching the blood routine from the COTN Tour and realized Gene did it from Vinnie's perch on the tank tread.Leaving the mess for our man Vinnie to stand in .

No wonder Vinnie told Gene to fuck off and go to that side of the stage during the latter part of the shows.

I would think that too if Gene didn't stay there and sing all of God of Thunder. I'm sure a stage hand probably wiped up the fake blood afterwards.

What does Gene care? He has all that fake spittle all over him anyway.

I have only seen roadies put a mat under Gene during this routine in recent years.
I really believe this is why Vinnie didn't want to finish the shows over there.

Yeah Ace did say he hated rooming with Gene in the early days cause he would just hock a loogie on the hotel carpet without a second thought to someone stepping in it.

i would share a room with gene any day over Ace. Actually both sound like a nightmare.
