I will say Vinnie has a outstanding sense of melody, some thing that is missing from most Metal to day or music period. He could have easily carved out a spot like Vai and Eric Johnson as a independent artist . I think the lyrics he would have to leave behind would really bug him though. I dont think he hears them separated in his head. Thats not a bad thing just tough the way he writes, you can tell he is very emotionally tied to the lyrics. But it would be a lot easier to hold a band together and do what he wants, not dealing with a vocalist and the baggage that comes with some one singing the way you want and there ego as well. Its also easier to attract top notch musicians that way also the will accept the idiosyncrasies you may have about your music or yourself.

He could do this in Japan right now very easily, and make a huge production makeup and all and go over big.

We've gone over this a LOT. There are a HUNDRED things Vinnie could be doing to get out there and make a living, earn money, make music, perform...but he chooses to focus solely on his belief that he is where he is at because Gene and Paul SHOULD HAVE paid him more based on the merit of his contribution to the band.

That's a rabbit hole to nowhere.

Insecurity lies

Yeah Slayer style!

Live life as though it is the third law; "to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Rules apply whether we are cognizant of them or oblivious.
