Hide yiur heart had lots of mtv play too. I think winger and slaughter really helped that tour sales wise. Kix were also on line up at gig I was at.

if it wasn't for that recycled tissue pomp(copyright of Kerang review ) called "Forever" that reached no8 in the charts, there would have no tour at all.promoters had cold feet about kiss touring,kiss even went as far as spreading rumours about a show with makeup and a show with the unamsked tyour lineup.Then they nixed that as "just rumours"as soon as "forever" went into the top ten.

Ace was asked to open for them and maybe play in the encores,but he did turn the offer down.

Yeah, there were rumors to that effect.

Funny how in "No Regrets" Ace doesn't mention that. Seems like Ace would have mentioned something like that if it had happened...just to make them look bad.

Of course Ace does mention Gene calling him and asking him to take "Hide Your Heart" off his album.

He talks about Eric Carr being disappointed he couldn't play on one track on his album.

YET NO MENTION of Ace being asked to open for them. hmmm

Ace did claim Frehleys Comet sold over 500,000 copies....

I just had a chance to give the episode my full attention. Very good job ONCE AGAIN !!!!

I look forward to the day when the Decibel Geek Podcast becomes a true multimedia show. I would love to see video of the interview as well as personal pictures ,etc... , throughout the interview.
How much cooler would the interview have been with Hirsh's personal pictures of VVI's equipment ?
I wouldn't put it beyond you guys to actually redo your catalog with images placed within the interview.

Also, I am looking forward to seeing the Bruce Kulick video version of the DB Geek interview .


I wonder if JesternJeff from the VVFF knows of Tom ?

i do have an interview with ace where he said gene asked him to take hide your heart off of the album but he said it was too late and he would have been happy to take it off. i bet he was going to make it a single if kiss had not have done so.
