Me too. Assuming they want to sell more than a couple of units to die-hard fans (! like the ones he's alienated himself from on the forums !), I agree they need some form of credible set up which maybe they think they can get from namm.
They'll need some sort of promotion to get more people excited about Vinnie again. If he put out some material to make the guitar more relevant to people now it would help a lot, rather than people just thinking 'oh look, Vinnie Vincent is putting out a new guitar like he used to play years ago ... and ?...'.
Or maybe the material/comeback is in the strategy for when they have the deal...I can't see the point of ONLY producing a SIGNATURE guitar for an artiste who, to all intents and purposes, has been on MARS for the last THOUSAND years, and where in his absence only rampant speculation and bad press abound - sporadically.

And they are going to a trade show but seem to want to sell direct to fans which negates the reason to go to namm in some ways. I am sure private collectors are there but not really any fans. I think vinnie is using it for exposure and to try and get hooked up with guitar hero which I think is a long shot.
All credit to him, but I just don't fully get the reasons.
Yes music and guitar at the same time is the way to go.

I highly highly doubt that he will get anything close to a deal with Guitar Hero or something similar, he has been out of the game for way to long now. Plus even if they did which is like you said a BIG long shot, I doubt anyone would actually buy it except the really die hard Vinnie fans which is shrinking as each day passes.

The main problem with Vinnie being on Guitar Hero, in any fashion, so either as a song or two or even as as the main attraction will be negotiating with Vinnie the $$$ for the rights.
Remember how Zoom Club wanted to release Guitars From Hell but Vinnie wanted too mush $$$ and once again an agreement could not be reached. So Vinnie gets no $$$ and we don't get a product.

This is the NAMM Deadlines.. I would say he is not appearing as the artist apperence/events deadline was in november and the performance deadline was in october and they have not listed anything.. infact the only thing about VV on the NAMM site is related to Wayne Charvel. He still has time to do the press conference thing however. I still say he will be their or luring in the VIP section incase needed, or at the very least a family member will be on the booth.

Heard the same '$$$ greed' issue for when Paul Stanley was shopping around to get his last solo album released. Apparently he'd been shopping these demos around for years & there were no takers...Labels wanted a KISS album, no a PS solo album. Probably why there was not single or video clip or any real promotions for the release. PS is a lot more well known than VV...What the hell does he expect. What kind of $$$ does he think, he or his legacy are worth. For the most part his fame is all due to being in KISS. Even if I believe that the VVI stuff was better than the KISS material of the same period, that doesn't matter, cause the market's demand will determine his value. Right know he isn't worth much, except to about 90 die hard fans (right here in this forum!) in the whole world (who aren't gonna spend $8000 on your sig series axe). V, enjoy the delusion while it last. Dino said it best about the highs & lows of being happy...V, expect a free fall naked from an aeroplane.

I agree but let's see. He does get a lot of YouTube hits, but the sad reality is 250 thousand record sales in the 80s equals about 5 thousand at best these days. I think v would be putting out guitars from hell for the fans and his own legacy now, surely he knows the market has sadly dropped. He could and should get into merchandising and live guitar clinics or touring to make money but it ain't what it was and I don't think vvi made money in the 80s anyway. It's hard to predict the market and I don't want to discourage anyone including vinnie to give it ago until you try you never really know but yes .. very high price tags are not going to work unless you can tap into the yuppi market if that exists for vinnie.
I think innocent until proven guilty is the best way to go with the guitar pricing.

There is no yuppi market for Vinnie. Don't think we are going to see any Armani wearing, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Versace driving, Dom Pérignon sipping, CEO's buying a Pear VVV. The only guy here who maybe have the ca$h...but has a great more common sense (than to spend $8000 on an axe) may be Wolfie. I'm only saying this as an observers...I'm sure he has a lot of financial headaches & obligations running his practice. I know people who own blocks of units(apartments...condos), but don't have $10 on their person, cause all their liquid fiance is tied up replaying the banks & gov for the privilege. There might be others who have the liquidity, but I very much doubt it. There are currently 9 million Americans unemployed right now...Think of the flow on effort this has. When times are good, everyone is spending & just that motion of money flowing gets the economy running. When people stop spending the engine seizes up & the flow on effort is, it's bad times for everyone. People tighten their belts & don't spend...demand goes down for everything...In saying all this I don't believe in spending your way out of debt (gonna get ear bashed by shramiac if I don't explain myself). When times are good they are good for all, even the boutique guitar manufacturers. When they r bad...bad for all. The 80's r over & Welcome to the NWO's man made fake GFC. Good luck Vinnie. Hope you do sell heaps of guitars, I just don't see it happening.

NAMM would also be a great way for Vinnie to secure some endorsement deals if he does intend to go further with his comeback.
Thoughts?

Vinnie would be nuts trying to sell any sort of signature guitar for more than $2500. I'm no guitar player and as a collector/someone with spare cash to spend, there's no way I'd spend more than a couple of Gs on a VV signature guitar. And even then as a KISS fan, a Vinnie guitar is a long way down the list of guitars that I buy from a ex KISS guitarist.

I think the high quality materials and time to make one was a factor. Let's see . It started off at about 4k and then 5k and the last I heard was 8k but they may have taken our feedback into account . At 4k they may get one or two sales. At 2k I think they would get a little more . Ed Roman was asking around 4 wasn't he? He said he sold some but I don't think so. The black one never sold on ebay.
I don't think they could make selling if for 2k work out financially. So maybe its the high price or not at all . I suppose its best to have something that no one can buy than have nothing.

The other issue is how does the guitar play and sound? We know that in the past v has had issues. The les Paul he swapped where he said it was vintage and wasn't , the reported guitar he sold while he was in kiss. The hard rock one which has not been 100% proven yes or no etc. So he has to make sure this is as good a design and as high quality as it can be. I think namm will be a good thing for that.

Well, for those that can make it to NAMM a report on guitar build/playability is a must.
The pricing is not set until we see it somewhere official. Hopefully they have taken into account the incredulous response to crazy high pricing.

i think tom planned to use AZG to make other models too.. so if its now TM One Guitars then it seems like Tom will have lost a little in this deal. It means he can really only make VV guitars and not promote his other lines.

I don't know if V will show up at NAMM but if he does, and tries charging 8k for that guitar, he's going to get laughed out of the hall.
8k for a VV signature model is like Ford re-introducing the Gremlin and charging $50,000 for it!

And.....Mustis has been deleted!!!
Whatever happens, it looks like "somebody" will be at NAMM showcasing the new VVV guitar. The best person to do this is Vinnie. We are excited, I know I am, but we are not letting ourselves get carried away.
Too many times things like this happen and it doesn't work out, so most of us are taking a "wait and see" attitude. In the end they could decide at the 11th hour to abandon the display and not go. This would mean they'd lose any money put down to secure it, but sometimes people are prepared to do that rather than go through with something when they change their mind.

key words 'will be' . I hope it happens but don't expect it until its officially ready to purchase. Remember in the 90s .. 'will be' or 'coming soon' and 'just around the corner'... But the great news is the guitar seems to have come through.. I am so glad.
I hope it sells. I would love to see someone with this guitar. I wonder if a celeb guitarist would consider one.
Maybe they will strike a deal with an asian mass producer of guitars for an affordable version while they are at NAMM, I am sure many of those comapnies in Asia will be knocking at TM One Holdings door to make it. Whoever makes those BC Rich guitars in China would be a good place to start.. they are damn good in my opinion.

he should just sell on ebay. simple. the customer gets the security and we can see the guitar is in stock etc. if he put number 001 on ebay now it would get a hell of a lot of interest. also he doesn't have to deal with his fans by the way of email etc.. no way will anyone give their credit card numbers over the internet on a product that is from a new company.

Any pickups used would have to meet Vinnie's approval, not ours. Those are great no doubt, but you'd have to put them in yourself after you bought, like with most other guitars. If you like the rest of it, you can change the hardware.
I do wonder what pickups he'll have on it. Passives or actives? Brand/model?
