vv says that the new guitar is also very warm tone. I am thinking that is impossible unless his pick ups are very warm. The wood set up is the brightest highest pitch wood combo you can get from the more famous woods out there. Maple body and neck has very little low end added to that Ebony that will take it up a pitch notch too. Tj or anyone, can you explain how this guitar can sound warm? If it was a hollowbody it maybe a little warmer. I know a good Rosewood board would warm it up a little. The only woods known to be higher pitch are Beech and Birch which are both not used in guitars and maybe cherry is the same or brighter.
Ash and Alder are mid to high, Poplar in the centre and Mahogonny, Walnut, Rosewood and Koa are very warm.
Anyone any idea what vv is talking about when it comes to warm?
I think his rr v's maybe made from a warmer body wood.

I think it has more to do with the creaminess/smoothness of his tone. Vinnie's sound was always HOT but never harsh or edgy.
Even when the pickups accentuate his picking, there is a nice crisp, roundness to the attack.
