Good move by the band to let Eric sing it - Gene was doing so well with it as this video can attest to.
I do like the novelty of hearing Gene sing it though - I'm sure if he wanted to he could've worked at it and gotten it down.

Ok, I just got this and it does seem to be stitched together from different sources. There is another camera besides the one at the front we already knew about. I'd love to find out what went on with the taping of this show. I dare say a better version still exists but this is pretty damn cool for now. You can see at the end it did seem to be recorded by some Army people!strangeways wrote:http://www.kissfaq.com/forum11/viewtopi ... =9&t=73500

Sammy mustlove what Gene does to Vinnie at the start of Cold Gin!!
Paul does a cool slide guitar thing with the mic stand in Cold Gin too.
Vinnie's solo is cut!!! Damn it!!!
Paul seems to be enjoying himself during I Love It Loud, hanging with Vinnie.
This version has very little of Black Diamond but does have Lick It Up in it, and Vinnie's solo isn't actually very inspiring in that one.
Overall the band is fantastic. Lots of energy and top notch playing.
As much as I LOVE the VVI, Vinnie was perfect within the "confines" of Kiss. It was a perfect match after Ace left, and with Eric in the band. The Lick It Up line-up could have conquered the 80's and beyond.

It's all good, he, and everyone at the VVFF is sorted on this one. You just need to know where to look.
