Buongiorno

Hey,

I just found this great site dedicated to my favorite KISS member Vincent Cusano aka Vinnie Vincent ! I saw him in concert only once way back in the day in 1986 when VVI opened for Iron Maiden. It was a great show and I bought the $17 VVI t-shirt after the show which I treasured. I love Vinnie and I don't think he got a fair shake from Paul and Gene even though Gene claims Vinnie was the "most self destructive s.o.b. on the face of the earth". I firmly believe there are two sides to the story and I truly feel for Vincenzo. I wish he had had more opportunities to showcase his enormous talent which has not been recognized by the masses. Vinnie DEFINETELY helped put KISS back on the map with two very solid albums in CREATURES OF THE NIGHT and LICK IT UP. I truly think that he wanted a greater role with his guitar playing in the band, however, Gene and Paul apparently feared something. I am enjoying this site and look forward to visitng it as much as possible in honor of fellow paesano Vinnie.
Arrivederci,
Carlo

Ciao,

My origins are in Puglia, Wolfgang, but currently live in North Italy, so we're paesani as Calabria and Puglia are close to each other. Where do you live in Germany exactly? I lived there for three years, near Darmstadt. Da quanti anni sei in Germania? Abbiamo una pizzeria calabrese qua dove abito adesso.

I noticed a lot of the members on this board are from Australia. My next door neighbor is Italian-Australian so we speak English to each other. He emigrated with his family to Australia as a kid then came back to Italia many years later but he misses Australia and wants to go there for vacation soon. What a small world we have, heh ?

Ciao a tutti !

I'm sure you've seen them in concert. If I remember correctly some of their concert videos on their video collections were shot in Australia.

I'm living in Stuttgart near the airport. My father is from Cariati and is just living there. Since I'm a child I stay in Germany. Sprichst Du noch ein wenig Deutsch?

Dir ein schönes Wochenende,

Wolfgang

Are you near Lake Como?

Not really, Iceman, more on the other side near Venezia. Do you live in Switzerland?

Wolf, Nein sprechen klein Deutsche. Sorry that was years ago and I mostly spoke English and Italian when I was there. I worked for a news publication and we mostly spoke English even though there were German colleagues. Drank "Snapps " !! It seemed there were almost as many Italians as Germans in some neighborhoods. The biggest immigrant groups in Germany were the Turkish and the Italians so I did have many Italian friends. It was normal to see people speaking German, Italian, and Turkish on the streets. Most of the Italians were from Sicilia and Puglia. Some Napolitani and Calabresi like you. Ciao ragazzi !

Taranto, about 2 hours away, the highway stops at bari so there are small windy state and provincial roads. Unfortunately, I won't be there next week. I should be there in the july timeframe. Are you guys coming down for Pasqua? (Easter holiday) DoubleV, are your grandparents from bari ?

We had an Italian-Australian on the Big Brother (Grande Fratello) reality show in Italy a few years ago. He also lived in Sydney and was Napoletano origin. Io credo che VV e' di origine napoletana, Cusano e' un cognome campano. Ti auguro una Buona Pasqua a te e famiglia !!
