I always liked this version as much as Vinnie's! At least John got to release it as a single.

Nice clip too although I want to hit that nasty old pawn shop owner!!! Especially as the guitar was stolen goods and he drags it across and bashes it on the shelf!!!

Is that Goran in the clip??? I know he did the vocal but the guy in the clip doesn't look like him? Maybe the guy was doing a "Mark" as per Boyz Gonna Rock video???!!!

Good version but I'm not a fan of the synth washes.

Nice solo, melodic and tasteful for the most part. I could probably even play the slower parts!!

whats with the scooters in the vid. im with Vic on this - quite good with get rid of the synths.

Amazing he recorded and released it as a single a year after it was on the VVI album.

I wish others had recorded some tunes like this. Not just for a tribute album, but for their own albums.

I do like his take on the solo.

two funny things. Goran sang this which he did with VV. Also VV presented this tune while hosting the headbangers ball and finally John Norum opened up for Frehley's Comet and played the tune, which Ace used to have part of his set.
For some reason the song is jinxed. It should have been a huge hit with someone (Kiss, VVI, Norum, Ace and whoever else was involved with it , i thought maybe Lita Ford was going to use it too unless it was a different VV tune).
My friend at Aardman (who are the leading company in claymation, my friend also worked on Fantastic Mr Fox) was going to offer his services to replicate the old VVI '86 look in clay and make a video to Back on the Streets for VV, I think I could have got it done really cheap). I never told VV because the other thing was going slowly and I didn't want to look like an idiot and nothing got done.

personally i don't like tho singing on norum's tune and the video is one of the worst i ever saw, i suppose its funny, not sure if that the idea. either way, its not a comical song so its all wrong to me.

i would prefer vv to sing over goran, even though i know goran is good. i like JSS better even though his voice is 'big'

It's either Vinnie or Robert for my preference.


ALSO Dino, You don't have to worry about looking like an idiot because of slow work . You're doing fine all by yourself . I keed ,I keed
