So, anyone here a Bow Wow fan? Probably not cause they're a Japanese band and havent gotten much attention in the West (though they were kinda big in the tape trading circuit according to my uncle)

Otherwise you might know em as Vow Wow after they changed their name in 1984 or whatever

They started using keyboards and had a new singer (with killer vibrato and range btw), being more melodic after that, and that's cool but the early stuff is the real deal

Most people don't even realize the influence they had on heavy metal, they broke ground with their 2nd album Signal Fire, partially inspiring bands as Mesellica and Iron Maiden

I saw them live, on holiday in Japan, a couple of times some years ago with the original lineup (as Bow Wow) and man were they ever wicked

I recommend Asian Volcano or Warning From Stardust for the metalheads :)
And Signal Fire or Charge for the rockers :)
My first ever heavy metal album was Hard Dog, a gift from my uncle (thanks uncle Rob)

All good stuff IF you don't mind a bit of broken English

It's kinda sad that theyre always being overshadowed by Loudness :( but Loudness is great too
I think Bow Wow was the FIRST heavy metal band from Japan though

They just don't get half the credit they deserve :(

I just listened to Warning from Stardust & I really liked the music! Vocally I think Akira is much stronger... Cool track though!

Thanks!
