This is another AWESOME!!!!! band I was really into when I was younger. Still love them...When the first album came out in 1984 & then I got the First VVI in 86, I remember reading an article on how the two albums sounded similar. I suppose they do in a lot of ways. That real bombastic metal distortion, with over the top whammy damage solos. Real metal fist pumping anthems. The First Icon album to me is like a cross Keel's Right to Rock & the First VVI album. (BTW LOVE KEEL) The second album 'The Night of the Crime' (1985) was more AORish but still as awesome. I Highly recommend the first two. In 1987, they go a new singer & release A More Perfect Union & in 1989 saw the release of Right Between the Eyes. Both good albums but lost some of the magic of the first two.
