Official Vinnie Vincent website is up!!

It's been a long time between drinks on the web but Vinnie's new site is indeed alive and kicking:

http://www.vinnievincentmodelguitar.com/

The resolution is quite low, everything looks huge, very 90's style. I'm not sure what res Vinnie has his monitor on.

Ok, in the video catalog the ESP is listed as a 1985 Rare Bird and it's available as the 1988 Rare Bird on the website. Which is the true year for this guitar.

The pics are from the 88 era with Mark in the band but perhaps the guitar was made earlier? If he fixes it up so they are both the same then we will probably know better.

I still can't believe the terrible resolution.

It looks like the guitars have gone down in price in the shop but they are still 9-12k when you mouse over them.

The text in the shop is really bad too, could use with some proofreading.

Oh my god... with that sort of money (the one Vinnie's asking for those guitars) I could very well buy a car over here!!!

EDIT: Ok, shock is a bit gone and all I can say is... well, we all thought Vinnie was not going to pull it off, and all things considered, he SORT OF did...

That's far more than he has accomplished in the last 6-or-so years, so maybe things are bound to get at least slightly better?

Read the text, seems like Vinnie could use some lessons in grammar.

I am of course faultless in this regard, lol.

I will eat some crow here. I said he would not have a website up and he did it. Vinnie was right and I was wrong.

Now, it's not so much a website. It's more of a very, very small store with unbelievably expensive guitars. At least he listened and has cases available now...for $350.

The terms and conditions kill me. Basically, you can send him $4500 and he doesn't actually have to deliver you a single thing.

My only question to the group here is this: I kinda remember reading something about how the Cusanos left NAMM with the guitars and the relationship with Palecki was over...and yet he's still listed as the master luthier. Am I remembering that incorrectly?

We're not sure what's going on there. The guitars as seen at NAMM were not fully finished and it seems they were taken by Mrs Cusano and her father and someone in Vinnie's area "finished" them off.

This is what I remember hearing. It is therefore interesting to read about Tom being the master luthier involved with these guitars still.

To be honest, I think it is what it is. We should be happy.

As Cernex said, we didn't think he would do it, but he has. Despite everything, he sorted his website and got it up on time. Sure, the prices are still crazy, Vinnie is still bat-shit crazy, the site could be better, and it is a bit retro style, but, it isn't bad. In fact it's still pretty cool in its own way.

Maybe things are moving forward? It is better than nothing after all - he promised and delivered, this time. Maybe it's time to take a step back and just see what VV will do. It's another step.

I will also admit I was wrong. I really didn't believe the site would actually happen ... but it did. Regardless of what people may think of the site, we should be happy he even got that together. Am I missing something or does he not have a link to his precious, $500-to-be-a-part-of, message board? Maybe I just didn't see it.

And on the subject of the Euphoria LP, am I the only one that noticed that the Euphoria LP is completely absent from his site tune-player thingymabob playlist?

I agree with Euphoria also. It's really nice to see Vinnie posting updates every few days, doing his website, etc. letting us know he's still there. Unlike before where we had no way of knowing what's going on with him at all. It's nice to know Vinnie is back on track. Well sort of. :)

I was just looking at the guitar models on his site and on each page they have a picture of the "catalog" page from the catalog that was supposed to sell for $50 each and a secondary picture.
Looking at the page for the '86 Classic Pink & Silver model, the secondary picture appears to be an image downloaded from the internet of a bootleg concert DVD!
He's not even using his own images! He's trolling the internet for pictures of himself, downloading them and using them on his own website!

Checkout the bottom corners! All he has to do is ask and I'd take it into Photoshop and clone out the extra stuff he couldn't crop out!

As you can see, Vinnie is TOO PROUD to ask for our assistance . everything he could do to promote himself would be 1000 times better because it would be done by the hardcore fans of the VVFF. We have the balls to tell him when one of his ideas sucks and also the love to shower him with when his ideas reach his vision. Unfortunately, Vinnie has always needed someone else to realize his vision. I don't know too many artists that can do everything by themselves and do it convincingly .

This proves that Vinnie is delusional .

Now that the awe has died down a little, I actually started reading the content and you are correct. Poor grammar, typos, incorrect usage and run-on sentences galore.

Once again, I would gladly offer my services for free. Just send me the text via PM Vinnie and I will send you the copy-edited version.

Very home made and it looks like it was done on a 17" crt monitor, which was state of the art in the 90's only.

He's targeting the wealthy alright. You would need lots of cash to risk losing some trying to get a guitar from Vinnie.

i actually think the website looks ok. its not the best but its definitely far from the worst.

the whole situation sux though. the guitars look so fucking cool that at a reasonable price i have no doubt that everyone on this forum who plays guitar (and even a few who have never touched one in their life) would do what thay could to get the money to buy one. unfortunately the main issue isn't the price, its whether the guitars would even be made at all

I'm done with trying with Vinnie. Fuck him. As a person he sucks. I will go out of my way to see that he doesn't get any money from me anymore.

Funny how I'm blocked from even making Nice comments on Youtube.

Karma will find a way to him.

I think the site looks okey, but it's a shame that it's nothing more than a store for the new guitars. How about some content that's connected to Vinnie? Bios? Discography? Pictures???

Is it weird that I sorta feel proud of him?
:?
It's awesome that he came through with what he said he would do :D I'm a little impressed with the website, honestly, even though noone else really is. lol I thought it would be 1 page, and it would be like the doubleV forum, kind of. It was also kool of him, imo, to put a song we've never heard before on the video catalog.
It seems as though he's somewhat headed in the right direction ...

Pay a deposit for a guitar you have no idea who is making it? Ummmm. That's interesting. It's nice he has a site but he is selling something that seems to be made in a black hole. I bet its made by a Chinese factory (at best). If you order get a contract which included photos of it being made and who and where its made and exactly what its made of.

Step in the right direction maybe but with palecki taken off the advertising its 3 steps back . I would love to see this work and it is made on America by palecki but how could any sane person order this without knowing more.

Again its cool he pulled it off and I like the way he did it alone in a kind of hokey way (the slide show is however way too fast) But the glossing over of who made the prototypes and who is making them is pretty low. But what do you expect. Let vv do his thing and accept it or walkaway.

He pulled nothing off but his own dick. It doesn't take a Road Scholar to put up a web site (which he didn't put up, he got someone else to do it) to sell an item that is basically un-sellable. Really, who is going to purchase a guitar from him for that amount of money. He may get one sucker, that's it. Nothing on that site is new or innovative. All the graphics have been swiped from other things we have already seen. All that Guitarmageddon stuff is from 1996. & then to compare the VINNIE VINCENT MODEL Guitar to a 59 Les Paul. Big call. Don't get me wrong I love it, I love the VVV guitar, but for the common folk, the majority of guitarists will laugh in your face if you compared a VVV to a Gibson Les Paul. Sorry to sound negative, but these are the facts. Once again I LOVE THE VVV, but I'm the minority. And lets face it. How many people outside this forum would have a VVV. How many people in the whole world will have a VVV by the end of 2011. Maybe 30. That's it. That's VV's whole target market. Maybe 30 VVV guitars owners in the whole world. And how many of them will be this new Guitarmageddon branded guitars? Maybe 1 or Zero. As far as the web site is, I don't mind it. With the spelling & grammar errors, it still functional & if the guitar price was reasonable it would serve his purpose. (At least, it's good to see someone has helped VV out by setting the site up for him) The 'Terms & Conditions of Sale' is the real problem. Ridiculous is an understatement. Good luck to him, he'll need it

Also still living in the past, no new photos. I don't know of any musician who would use 22 year old pictures to advertise and never allow or use current pictures . It's like he wants to be frozen in time. Just an observation .

Maybe he considers himself like a timeless work of art? He's obviously stuck in the past! If he ever releases a new album he should have the album cover concept like the " Picture of Dorian Gray" where the older Vinnie of today
is standing in front of a mirror with the reflection being an old '86 era image looking back at him... That way Vin will be happy because he can be on the cover but we still can't see his face...as he looks now...

If someone would ask me my advice is that don't buy anything with these terms from anybody. Non-refundable downpayment, all sales are final, even the case is not the same as the one in picture and it's not included in 9000 dollar deal... what company builds these guitars anyway? NO WAY! Remember the boxset fiasco.

The solo, however, in the video, is really good. That's something Vinnie can do.
