Wow, a dream comes true! That's something I ever wanted to do but I haven't. To see all this famous places is on top for me. But when I was in New York 2005 I haven't had the time nor the adresses to see all this places...
Great!

Great stuff! I stumbled over that page for the first time last week or something. Pity that the dorrknob was missing on the "The elder-door" yet. Does anyone know if it has been removed since 1981 or if it was basicly just put on the door for the album cover?

There are rumors that it might not be the real Elder door. The story is that the Elder door wasn't a FULL door but just a piece of wood.

Serious. I don't know what to believe. I have heard different stories about the door.

The door in the picture sure looks the same, just without that famous doorknob. On one hand I don't think I'm buying that "piece-of-wood-story", cause I don't really get the point in making an exact replica of an actual existing door just for an album cover footage. On the other hand, the door in the picture is on the outside of the house so maybe it was easier for them to get a decent photo of a similar piece of wood in a proffesional studio?

The elder door is actually a church door in Manhattan...

That is one well kept secret man! I though they built a prop door for the cover...

That photograph sure looks like it's in a studio.

If it were real, if I were a member of Kiss, that would have been the door for the shitter at my house. I am one of the few that loves Music From The Elder.

There's supposedly a version out there of Under The Rose with Eric Carr on vocals. He was originally intended to sing it but Gene ended up of course.
