Hi . My daughter wants a heavy metal guitar . She just got into vvi. She wants the dt 50 after seeing it in a used store yesterday. I geared her towards it . Anyone know if they are good? I like that they are made from birch which most of my drums are made out of. This is the only video I could find. I think I will pick it up today they want around $400 for it.

I have an 82 Destroyer and it has a nice neck but is a bitch hold. That guy doesn't seem to have any problems though. Short scale neck which would be easier to learn on. No Wang bar there to drive you up the wall with though! :P
Maybe an Ibanez Xiphos if she wants a wang bar. Don't think they sold that well and you may get one cheap. It's nearly the same shape.

Look for a Charvel. Let me know what it is before you buy.

The UK Fusion is a great Charvel and Dino would be able to source one close by I'm sure, depending on what continent we are talking about.

The US is full of great Charvel bargains.

Ibanez released a mini destroyer in the early 2000's in metallic red, they were awesome!

Funny thing is I sold over 50 guitars and I didn't think to hold onto something for her. I still got my Hamer virtuoso which may shock her guitar teacher and I got a few other things in storage. She really likes the show off stuff.

i sold one (of my two virtuosos) in 1999 for $150 .. am i kicking myself.. yes. I was in contact with the guy I sold it to and he said he hated it and after 6 months gave it to a friend for free. I can not track that guy down. All my stuff is in storage and i can not get to it, but i will sell once i can get the stuff out.
