i saw them live in 88 I think. They were unlucky not to get a record deal. Maybe they just didn't have the MTV hit that labels were looking for.

I believe that it is Rick, the singer that is in W.A.S. now. Funny thing is that Mr. Piper got the boot from the band earlier this year.

he had some issues while in WASP I remember. I think he messed up joining alice cooper to. suposedly Alice really wanted him in his band due to his look from WASP and when he showed for the audition he didn't bring a guitar and was high.

Not a good start!
Alice: "Randy, where's you're guitar"?
Randy: "I left it at the bowling alley man"

I remember reading that Randy was set to join Alice's band but when he found out that Kane Roberts was gonna be lead guitar and him rhythm he backed out. Then Alice got Arthur "Devlin 7"...

Devlin 7 went to school with Vinnie and they hung out on the 1986 tour. A Rambo/Paul Stanley look-a-like told me.

Funny, you bring that up. Was just looking up Devlin 7, aka Johnny Dime. His real name is Arthur 'Artie' Funaro. was trying to find him on FB. 'went to school with Vinnie'....mmmmh.

So, what the story with Piper & WASP...Did he leave...get kick out? I've always wondered about.
Loved Devlin 7. That line up with & Kane Roberts, Ken Mary, Kip winger was the best. I remember seeing Nightmare Returns on TV & totally freaking out. little did I know at the time VVI opened for Alice on that tour...That would have been insane to see.

kicked out i think for being wasted all the time, not that chris holmes wasnt wasted. he got kicked out on the flight back from japan. I think he went straight to audition for Alice. He said he only owned one guitar and the rest were borrowed. He was also not making any money in WASP so he said.
As for Devln 7. was he a good player? No real way to tell. I think Paul Taylor of Winger was also on that tour with his other name.

Kane Roberts had a unique way of playing, i used to quite like it. Not in the league of some of the others but you could tell his style.

Yer, sounds like Galaga (ギャラガ)...Love those kinda solos. I refer to them as spasticgato lead breaks.
