THAT should've been the Creatures cover. Whoever added Vinnie to that did a killer job.

My fave Vinnie memory was finally getting the first Invasion album and being blown away... by the songs, playing AND image. Also seeing him in Circus magazine in an ad for Night Flight and wondering what character he was supposed to be. It took me 4 years to see what his makeup really looked like when that KISS Exposed magazine came out in May '87 to coincide with the KISS Exposed video... it was kinda weird finally seeing him up close in the ankh... some really great Vinnie makeup photos in that magazine.

I love all those Rock Scene mags from the 80's.
Even then I realised what crazy people Kiss fans were. They had the most "special" mags about them but they were not the biggest band out there anymore. Not that I was complaining, I bought them all!!

I have a few old issues of 'Rock Scene and clipped out the articles of VVI to put in my scrapbook. My only wish is that some of the pages were made a bit stronger.
Not having come from that time period, its really neat to read the articles of what was happening as it was happening back then.

sorry that shouldn't have been the cover. Vinnie played on less than half the songs as a session musician. I don't understand why people think VV played on most of the record.
If they were true to the band it would have only had 3 members on the cover.

Yes, but Ace played on NONE of it and he had already decided to leave the band! If anything, put Vinnie, Steve Farris, Bob Kulick, Robben Ford, Mike Porcaro and Jimmy Haslip on the cover too!
In all honesty, of course they did the right thing to keep from being sued by Polygram (putting Ace on the cover).

1031, Yes.
I remember there was a magic and excitement in the air that every one of your senses could have a taste of. That period holds such importance in my life.

the day ASG came out. I ran to the store and bought it in all three formats plus the next day I got them all again as I pre-ordered them from a mail order company. Also the day I saw the first VVI record in a store by chance.

I also may have been the only person who cried when I read vvi had split up back in September 1988.

Haha. At the time there was no interest in the vvi break up. Good to know I wasn't alone.

You can not be a big fan of vinnie and be aproved by him because if you are a big fan of vinnie you are going to research him and find that you wished you hadn't. The only fans he can have that he is going to be cool with are casual fans.

yeah its not the best moment to take a picture, but its got to be somewhat accurate regarding age. Does look a little like he has make up on but hard to tell.

I know that. I never said it was a real photo, I just was showing what I did in photoshop with it.

For a nearly 60 year old man I think Vinnie looks pretty good... definitely better than Paul and Gene's fake ass faces and WAAAAY fukn better than (gulp!) Ace and Peter. Vinnie's on par with how Bruce looks today for his age and looks better than Mark did (but Mark's looks were self-inflicted... much like Ace's... too much drugs and alcohol).

The guy is 59 years old and still looks pretty damn good in his MUGSHOT.

Absolutely. It is still too upsetting to see him like that though. It sucks when a hero is a dick.

Too true!!! Looks a hell of a lot better than many of the other celebs that have had their pic taken!
Very sad that we had to see him for the first time in 7 years or so in this fashion though!

There are plenty of younger celebs who look way worse in their mugshots.

this picture was taken about 3 in the morning a few days after his dogs christmas and bella were killed. He was still stressed out. And then when the swat team came at him he was asleep and woke up to find laser on him. He had no pillow and no toilet paper in his cell.

He was asleep? Didn't they finally get in pretty early on the evening? After Diane had left covered in blood?
So he had a nap? Is that believable as the truth? Is this what he told you guys?

It was at almost midnight so he says and they took the pic about 3am that's what he told us

It was around 8or9. Also he doesn't go to sleep until 5 or 6am

Yes, it makes no sense that he would be sleeping after what had happened, how could you?
The cops were there pretty early. It seems to be another rewrite of history to suit himself. Or a lie in plain English. Why does Vinnie always have to be the innocent victim? Even in this circumstance.
It does go well with the "All charges have been dropped" lie.
So he lies to the world at large and to the DV faithful, tsk, tsk.
