I am on it. Not pro set up but my friend has some super 16 kodachrome footage shot with a cp16 back stage and of some of the show he took at the poole UK show. The sound is not syncd yet . He has over an hour of footage. It's about $800 to digitize it plus another $300 to put it onto hard drive. I have seen some of it projected and its awesome. The guy was a camera operator on conan the barbarian and superman iii. He is retired now but he says he will give me the negs. Worst case I can just record the projection which will be very low quality.

Gene liked the opening act 'heavy pettin' you can hear on YouTube the demos he gave to them to use and kissfaq has a letter to them from him. I always wondered if that's where vv got the song title idea.

Jesus Dino!! That footage is going to be pure gold!! If it was recorded pro shot be a proper camera man then this could be better than the Lisbon, Portugal footage Would kiss even have this?? If not it's worth a lot more than $1100... And there's backstage footage too??!! I can't believe it!

GonnaRock - There is pro shot footage of Kiss live in Brazil 1983 w/makeup...you definitely need to see this if you haven't.. There was also a Brazilian tv documentary at the time of the tour which vinnie featured in heavily...I haven't seen that since the mid 90's but it was real good!

I will try to get the guy on here but I fear he may try to sell it if he knows it has value.. He is an old timer. It's slightly shaky because hand held but high quality and seperate sync sound recording . You can hear the camera a little. He lives in the city and filmed a lot of acts that went through as it was a new concert hall and he was doing a film for the local city that never got finished.

I believe it was hard to get permission to shoot in those days and all bands had contracts with the venues that they couldn't film without permission.

Please get that footage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

perhaps we could all ship in a little on the conversion money ? then all share the stuff.
just a thought....

Ooo really? I haven't seen any proshot footage of Vinnie with KISS!!! Unless I stumbled upon it on youtube and didn't realize!! But what is that documentary called do you remember?? Is any of this footage on the 'KISS Invasion' DVD about Vinnie's time in KISS? Because I was thinking about getting that. Or rather...Santa was thinking about getting me that...

The Creatures tour of Rio has been out for a long time in bootleg circles and I Love It Loud was on the Exposed home video.

Now it's all over You Tube of course, I am sure you have seen it by now, just maybe not sure of what BB is referring to.
