Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Ed Roman. We go back nearly thirty years in our friendship with Ed, back when he was the worldwide leader in Steinberger guitar sales. Anyone who ever worked with Ed will remember his legendary passion for the guitar industry. Although he could at times be a polarizing figure, Ed was the epitome of the saying "I Did It My Way".....he will be sorely missed by us at Babicz Guitars....and our industry will never be the same without him. It changed my life in many ways, mostly from the 100s of incredible people I met through Ed & Larry and ECS. What very sad news!! I worked with Ed starting one day a week in 1982 and worked my way up to 6 days a week in 1986. Ed gave me my start in the music business as far as retail and wholesale leading to a 17 year career with Kurzweil Music Systems starting in 1986. He was a tough man, but very fair with me, and generous too. I remember a great rip to Aruba where Ed and I went scuba diving. What a blast. I will miss him dearly. NAMM just won't be the same without him. RIP Ed. We won't forget you!!! I will say prayers for your family... Rock on brother, rock on.

Ed Roman was my friend...he got us started....I don't have much I want to say in public on Funny Facebook...but I will sat this...Ed was an HUGE influence on me...he did not warm up to Lazy people...or people that were not willing to help carry their own weight...from my perspective.....Nobody is Perfect...I KNOW...Ed was not either but he sure helped me a LOT....just by being him....I have always tried to catch up to guys like him....still have not...but I won't stop trying...I know he would approve of that....My Heart goes out to all who Miss him...I do too....but he is alright now...just like the Bad Company song....Nice

I just received some horrid news! One of my dearest Buddy's & a Great Builder of Guitars, my Pal Ed Roman dead Wednesday night after suffering another massive heart attack...just after spending 6 weeks in hospital!
It makes me want to play that much better & study that much harder!
SHEESH! I just talked to the shop today & no one said a thing!
