If vv is earning nothing from kiss then how has he lived for 23 years and how is he living now?

Didn't VVI & ASG sell 10-million copies each?

I'm jesting.

This is exactly the point I was trying to make in a different thread. Vinnie Vincent DOES get co-songwritier royalties from the KISS songs he co-wrote. It's the law. Does he get as big of a cut as the owners of the songs, Gene & Paul? NO! Why? Because he wrote songs with Gene & Paul while under the terms of a lousy employment agreement. Whose fault is that? Mostly Vinnie's. He could've refused to write, not "joined" KISS or quit and join another big-name band.

He also could have kept his own brilliant career going and we'd have more fantastic albums to listen to.

HAHA. Neither sold anywhere close to gold.
The only other records he could be making money off are the bangles as a big hit off that record (but not his) and the happy days re-runs. We are talking very little though. Lick it up (song) and I love it loud radio and tv play would really be his main income.

It's sad to think how lucky Vinnie was to get a second chance after KISS with his own VVI... then go shit that down the drain too. Too big for his britches as always...

totally is. he gets a second chance in kiss in 1984 and for revenge. Why did he fuck it up. Plain dumb. thats all i see it. Also I think he detested deeply Paul and Gene ( for many reasons and it seems that its a religious issue too).

Yeah, he says in interviews that he still loves the Kiss guys but his actions in court and the things he said as Suzie tell a different story.

You could really feel the hate for Gene and Paul when he wrote as SuzieQ.

Kiss would not be the only thing he would have royalty generated income from, although it would more than likely be the highest generated.

Plus the cases were not completely settled till 2010 when the bankruptcy decision was finalized. So payment to kiss and other fines and debtors listed as result of the cases would have be suspended till then, but probably placed under court trust . And when you consider that there was a reduction to around 54,000 to kiss it may have been payed by now. The court fines resulted were more than likely structured under a low payment plan.

And you have to consider that he may be and have been writing and selling songs, under another name or publishing co. name. I really think this is a plausibility due to his move to Nashville in the first place.

But as as usual this is just my thought's

We have done some research i don't believe he is writing for other artists. He did write and record countiy demos that I believe were never picked up . If he is writing for others its minimal and not in his own name or linked to his own name and the problem would be he would have to declare the income which he doesn't .

The only thing is its not been possible to find the titles and publishing etc of vinnies country songs unless thrill of the Chase is one but doesn't sound like country. He will have them registered somewhere but not sure under what name, especially as he did shop them around. A Chicago journalist has heard them and both Andre , Phil kenzie and k. pribble confirmed he was recording country tunes . Even as early as 89 . So it may explain something . But I am pretty sure after searching he didn't sell them and if he did he is not making big bucks. I don't think many would touch his tunes due to his suing history anyway.

Like I said, the deal he got himself into didn't get him the share of his songs that Gene & Paul could've easily afforded to let him have, but he is getting something. Based on his current lifestyle living in a Podunk town in TN, he could get by on 30k per year...if you don't include lawyer fees!

How much do you guys think he IS making on royalties each year on average?

He doesn't have his LIU royalties anymore at all does he? They were given to Gene and Paul to pay the 81k debt from the court action?

I am pretty sure he owed them 81k with no real way of paying it so they petitioned to purchase, sell off his rights to the LIU songs to clear that debt?

This is why he doesn't owe Gene and Paul any money at the moment. I think they are square, unless he goes back into court, then he could end up owing them more!!!

I never picked up on that...so, before the incredibly stupid lawsuit that not only cost him lawyer fees and court costs, but possibly a yearly income...how much WAS he making per year?

Re: royalties

I have no idea but I am pretty sure the outcome of all the crazyness was him losing LIU royalties. That was the decision that was handed down middle of last year when he had the online melt down and shut down DoubleV and created this place.

I don't think he lost them. Maybe they it is being used to pay off debt . I would think vv would be suing kiss to get the ownership back if that was the case.

Vinnie could get at least 100k for his guitars but he never declared them in bankruptcy so I doubt he can sell with out getting into serious trouble.

He would just sell them like a friend owns them , that's how he will get around it. He says his friend has his guitars and vv just borrows them from this fake friend.

He tried to use bankruptcy to stop paying Kiss, who asked the courts to sell Vinnie's copyrights to pay the money owed.

Vinnie tried to stop this and lost 18 months ago. I found some info here.

so maybe they are trying but its not set in stone.
He should stop going to court before he has nothing at all.

He'll keep going I think. It's his job for the past 15 years or so.

Maybe he's ready to retire?

He should tour. That would shake his hermit virtual life up a little.

A nice club tour would be the go to start things off and get some $$ back in the old bank account.

Too right Dino. Fear of leaving the house means Vinnie will probably remain a recluse until he dies.

He's way too scared to face the reality of the outside world and make some real money touring, like Kiss still do.

Paul and Gene's work ethic is second to none.

But sometimes god does the deciding and he may have to go out and face the fans on the road and have his guitar fo the talking.

Maybe God will intervene and help him out of his quagmire. I think a Vinnie album influenced (to a degree) by faith could be interesting. I think his lyrical writing style would easily lend itself to that thematic material.

This would be a very interesting thing for Vinnie to do. I could see him being quite successful at it too.

He could write about god, satan, wiping his ass or washing dishes for all I care... just write SOMETHING. I definitely don't ever see him touring again but he could at least release stuff online.

I do not want to hear a song about Vinnie wiping his ass. Unless...
Wipe It Up (to the tune of Lick It Up)
Boyz Gonna Wipe (to the tune of Boyz Gonna Rock)
That Time To Wipe (to the tune of That Time Of Year)
Get The Shit Out (to the tune of Get The Led Out)

That is soooo funny, and a little bit gross, well done.

PW, you didn't need to tell us the real names of the songs a few posts up, it was pretty easy to work it out, lol....
