lets keep some of gonnarock with us. What we can do is remember vinnie is a person and that he is a good person, he just has monsters that 'we' don't like and understand. He is still a kick ass musician and a fellow human that we need to at least try to understand a little as well even though the holes he digs and people he hurts make it impossible, its hard to know what to do or react.

It is. Thank you all for your kind messages. Its hard to know what to do, especially when it comes to Vinnie. But this time I think I have it right. I have come to terms with things and made some new friends that have helped me out.
Also, I want to apologize for a few things.
I know my possitiveness can get in the way of facts sometimes, so I apologize for that and also for trying to roll out my views on anyone. That isn't right and everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
This time I know how Vinnie has done some wrong things and it does hurt me and its no easy task to recognize those things, trust me. But I do now and I can face them. It bothers me a lot, but I am trying to be enlightened. And without trying to inject some possitive fluff here, I will say that I hope that I can come back to this board with a fresh start.

Ps. And all those new Vinnie pictures, I haven't seen yet, and you know I am pretty excited to.

Thank you. I was nervous that I wouldn't be welcomed back or strange stuff that way. But its good to be back. And back with a new perspective.

Glad you worked things in your head out. Vinnie is or was depending on your perspective just a musician, nothing more. And I would imagine if he did allow current pictures. The real pictures of a 60 year old man who wont leave his house and is afraid of personal contact with anyone, instead of insisting on cultivating eternal youth by using only 25 year old pictures, the attraction would be considerably less.

Its ok to like his music, and admire his ability to write a great song and rip the guitar anything past that is just not healthy.

This is incredibly well put. I tend to get carried away with dreams and that sort of thing. That is really why I like him in the first place, because he is an amazing musician and I love the music. As a person, I don't even know him and he doesn't know me. So that does not even matter. And from what I hear, he isn't nice.

So now when I say that I love him and all that, I am talking about the rockstar, not the man.

Welcome back GR It's great to see you haven't given up on VVff, this is a good place that is home for real fans. Like yourself I imagined what Vinnie would be like on a personal level and dreamed of some day meeting the man but reality set in and the dream just got further and further away You are better off keeping with your dream and just let Vinnie live his reality because none of us will ever be a part of it...He made that choice a long time ago now...thanks for coming back

Thank you Brooklyn_Born. Its great to be back and with a fresh perspective. I love the friends I have come to make through this forum and the things I have learned. I wish that things could be different and better, but I know now they are the way that they are. And I can finally accept them. If I could thank Vinnie for anything, its for leading me to all of you wonderful people. I still have my dream of him, but now that is just what it is. A dream. I can see the reality and I don't get them mixed up anymore. I am glad to be back.
