Crazy Crazy Nights has a memorable solo from Kulick. But then again I love the solo live from Detroit rock city:)

I would say Detroit rock city but i do like Crazy Crazy nights solo. lets just say the vinnie vincent guitar skill on the lick it up album is amazing

Mega tough one! I like the solo on Strutter '78 but I also love Vinnie's work on LIU. Crazy Nights is a cool solo, tough to replicate the smooth feel of it.

From memory ..

Ace best solo .. hotter than hell or rocket ride
Vinnie best solo... A million to one or any lick it up.
Mark ... Thrills in the night or into the fire
Bruce .. king of the mountain , sword and the stone or uh all night (I think)
Paul .. world without heros
Bob .. tonight you belong to me or legend tonight (I think )

Some great solos on the dynasty and unmasked records but I don't know if its ace .

The creatures , exciter and I still love you solos are so great too.

Paul: Hold Me, Touch Me
Vinnie: A Million To One
Mark: While The City Sleeps
Bruce: Tears Are Falling
Tommy: When Lightning Strikes (actually DOES sound like Ace).

not sure about dynasty... all are ace except paul on sure know something and whoever plays the solo on i was made for lovin you... not sure if that's ace.

all the solos on unmasked are paul except for the ace tunes. also all the solos on the elder are paul except the ace tunes. paranoid ace has stated in interviews that paul wanted him out so he could do more solos.

Paul did some tasty stuff so having a dual lead role in the band, like Priest or Maiden, would have been cool, and more honest. Even though you can see Paul do solos in the videos for Sure Know Something and A World Without Heroes.

Can't believe Gene didn't jump on that bandwagon and have Paul and Ace do all dual leads... since Priest opened for them and the NWOBHM was taking off.

Pretty much what I would say too!

Plus Vinnie if he did play "I Still Love You" now that it is under debate whether he did indeed play the solo and it wasn't Robben Ford as widely reported!!!

ironic isn't it? except vinnie did play the first half of the exciter solo... rick derringer the second half. and vinnie has laid claim to the i still love you solo... I think his memory is foggy though. I still think it's robben ford... very bluesy and doesn't really sound like cusano.

All evidence on I Still Love You points to Robben Ford, it's a given.

Robben fords Wikipedia says he played the solos on I still love you and rock n roll hell.

Rocket Ride floored me when I first heard it.

All of Vinnie's solos in Kiss are important to me. Even his takes on the "CLASSIC" stuff.

I never understood why rocket ride wasn't used live, that song was made for live shows . Maybe because it would have been on the dynasty tour. Kiss miss out a lot of their best songs live.

Yes, it definitely should've been on the Dynasty tour... would've made perfect sense with his guitar-rocket-shooting act. It was even in the Top 40 in early '79. Except for his drug abuse, Peter wouldn't have had a problem with playing it since he played on the studio version.

Read an interview with Ace once and he claimed he wrote Rocket Ride and Shock Me around the same time... said Gene and Paul loved Shock Me but neither cared for Rocket Ride.

rocket ride instead of 2000 man would have been cool. Tonight You belong to me should have been used over 'move on' for the dynasty tour too.

I think the lyrics of Rocket Ride would have been a little too rude for the kiddies that were now going to kiss shows in 1979-80!!!

hmmmm, no different than Love Gun or Dr. Love? both of which were played on the Dynasty tour.

Peter should've been allowed to do You Still Matter To Me on the Dynasty tour... with a backstage keyboardist. They could've beefed it up live with some guitar. I love that friggin tune!

Kiss with a Roland Jupiter 4 playing 'you matter to me' would have been.something to see. Haha.
