that pic of gene is so classic... always takes me back to being 5 years old and scared shitless of him. Hard to believe it's the same "goofy uncle" type guy from today.

And yes this version of GOT is fuckin wicked! Sounds like they were trying to go back to the original "disco" feel of Paul's demo...almost like it better than the Destroyer and Alive II versions.

About sped up:
Check with your guitar or keyboard if it´s in E concert pitch (440 Hz) ?
if yes, it´s not sped up.

I like the original but its nice to hear it played differently . Gets pretty old hearing the same one over and over.
