According to Wikipedia, the Lick It Up tour ended in March of 1984.

Recording of the Animalize album began in May of 1984 and finished in July of 1984. It was released in September of 1984.

So, 3 months after this TV show KISS had hired a new guitarist and began recording Animalize. Weird. (No wonder Vinnie was not invited to the taping of this TV show...)

I have heard Eric with Paul or Gene in a duet interview but never Vinnie.

I'm guessing the only way they would allow Vinnie in an interview is when all four absolutely had to be there. There is that one pic of Eric and Vinnie riding in a car together...
