Grover Jackson and someone else said. It was just freestyle stuff. But I can 100% confirm vv has no blue prints but he does have the guitars which is good enough but I just wanted to point out the wording blue print is not true.

Ask tj, not one of the Jacksons is made to the same dimensions as it was never in production.

When the site first launched I took that to be hyperbole, like anyone would use to hype up their goods. That one didn't bother me...but yes, it does reek of eu de bullshit.

I have no problem with hype and sales tactics but he could have told the truth .. its not like its a bad lie but not the total truth .

You know the truth.. we are and have been the only people keeping this guitar alive over the past 15 years.. maybe one or two jackson collectors but this guitar was very obscure even in the 80s with just about no one knowing or talking about it. 99% of the interest and hype comes only from this board or past versions of it.

Darren from the vintage Washburn site got in contact with Stephen Davies about the 87/88 Washburn version of the VVV and he said that no blueprint existed for their version. It was only a hand drawn sketch.

Why would that affect returns policy in any way ? Hell he even talks about no refunds in the event of "non completion of purchase." So basically......you are paying for a guitar that doesn't have to be even built in order for him to keep every dollar you paid. This is why he wouldn't respond to any requests for build updates. Your guitar was simply never going to be made. Incredible gall. You can tell he writes this stuff himself. He's just not intelligent enough to pull it off.

Was the boxset issue an act of god? If so why no refund? I believe its illegal to trade from a fake company.. called fraud and by law customers have rights to a refund if the item is not to there liking.

For anyone else, a little exaggeration on something that doesn't truly impact the final product in order to build interest is not a big deal. You'd still get your product and it would most likely live up to most of the hype.
