I'd never seen that either. Very cool.

Man, this guy had every chance in the world and it never happened for him. I wonder why?

this was part of a freddy special. Strangely the song was only in the background at the diner and pretty much VVI broke up days after the Love Kills video came out. Surely the tune was supposed to be played at the end of the movie like dream warriors.

The only mtv slots vvi had to promote ASG was the 3 hour headbangers ball slot which I think was in mid to late July 1988 and this freddy special. Other than that not a lot of tv publicity. the only real promotion they had was the magazine ad and a couple of small magazine stories.

It's a shame, because with the music scene of '88 LOVE KILLS should've been a huge hit. Add on top of that how huge the Nightmare movies were at the time. I thought it was weird LOVE KILLS was on the soundtrack but wasn't in the movie. I don't remember, did it even play during the credits?

That was shown like only once on MTV here in Australia. Luckily we taped it!

I saw Nightmare 4 at the movies, good times.

The song is playing on the juke box in the restaurant. When they are looking for the black Guy that gets killed in the junkyard.

when they came out with a nightmare on elm street boxset a few years back all the music videos (inc. Dokken) were included as extras ... but no VVI Love Kills, even though it has clips from the movie. Really totally forgotten but the execs of Nightmate series.

That is still more publicity than 99% of most bands get. Cusano had every chance at that point in his life to rule the rock world but decided... well hell I don't have to repeat the obvious yet again...

Thats what I was thinking. Why didnt Vinnie continue with Invasion after Slaughter and Strum left? Why didnt he hire new members, why didnt he make it a solo project, why didnt he continue releasing music in the 90s.

So many questions! :x

Yes by the early 90's people started realizing Cusano was a liability.

He should of become a solo artist. Or were the record labels afraid that he would simply take their money and not release anything?
